Post Repeat Threads

Y'know, I was walking down the street the other day, and I see this person on the corner with a Bible in their hands trying to convert people.

So I stop. Already this person is telling me why this is good for me.

I ask this person what their belief is and why I should believe and convert.

They immediately open the Bible and quote verses to me word-for-word.

I ask this person again, In their own words, drawing on their own personal experiences, why I should believe and convert.

Yet, this person can't explain it to me.

They have no frame of personal experience to draw upon.

They may know the words or verses, yet they don't understand them.

This brings me to my point or rant, if you will, on this board. On all the repeat threads that I've been encountering.

The information is great and wonderful, however, they've been cut and pasted from a blog or magazine and posted several times.

It lacks substance and personal experiences on results, both + and - . Some not all. I've read some great feedback from members trying new remedies.

I think that this forum needs more of that, more member participation and feedback on things they've tried. I think that'll encourage more of an open public forum in talking with each other. (I am sure it has already), in what we all have a common interest in, which is of course beauty and it's related social impact... well, maybe not that...

Not that I am pushing... Some are not ready to post 'till the cows come home and all that, I was like that my first time. So definately take your time.

I find this a very friendly board and I felt welcome when I joined and I feel the same sentiments from others here.
