1Consider the type of mascara and select one appropiate for your lashes and the occasion. For day , choose a lenghthening one, while at night go for a thickening formula.

2 Darker-lashed women should consider brown for a casual look, and black or brown-black for dramatic look.

3 Remove the wand from the tube in one pull. Pumping the mascara will push air into the tube , drying out the formula and introducing bacteria into it.

4 Begin with the upper derside of your upper lashes, moving the brush slowly upward toward the tips of your lashes. Always hold the wand parallel to your eyelid. Roll the brush slowly on the upward stroke to promote seperation of the lashes.

5 Allow the first coat of mascara to dry before applying the second coat in the same manner.

6 Use an eyelash comb to seperate the wet lashes.

7 Use less mascara for the lower lashes. Begin where the lashes meet the rim of the lower eyelid, genetly stroke downward.
