I am a former belly dance instructor of west palm beach! Yes It is alot of Fun , the music can be as varied as you like and it is sooo good for you too!
For all those who are curious, just check it out: Usually your local Ymca has a class or simply do some research for local listings in your area!
Here are some basics you should know,
1. First & Foremost the music you choose should inspire you, if it doesn't you will not move well. So listen to a variety.
2. You have to start by stretching very gracefully, warming up session is required, Arms and hands need to be welcoming, and gracefull.
3. knees are slightly bent & weight is on Balls of feet not Flat this gives you pivitol movement in the hips
4.Back should be straight, only bending when needed or making a certain move never kept leaning back , as back problems will develop
