In the case of a woman who really is suffering hair loss, the emotional aspects are difficult to address in an online forum. Remember that there are plenty of people - women too - for whom this is part of life. I now have three close friends (two under 40 and one under 50) who have lost all their hair thanks to chemo...so I guess one thing to be thankful for is that there are more ominous reasons to lose one's hair!

As far as the cosmetic/appearance part is concerned, however, you should be aware that your options are better than ever before, and improving every year. Partial hair falls and pieces are getting more and more natural; transplants are getting more reliable. And even wigs are improving enormously. (Nobody likes them, I know. But then again I think I'm doing ok with mine!)

Good luck as you continue to address this! Remember... We do not have control over our hair: that's a mix of genes, life and luck. But we do have control over our dignity and can claim the right to be ourselves in any case.
