Default Skin Care Tips (Just Because)

Hi guys. Here are some of my skin care tips that have worked for me and my friends. I've put them in order in a simple 3 step skin care routine.

1. Cleanse

*Tie your hair back in a bun and sweep all the hair back off your face. Try using a headband as it will pull the hair away from your hairline, making sure you can wash all the cleanser away from this area.

*Wash your hands with antibacterial soap.

*You should be using a cleanser that is right for your skin type. So, for example, if you have oily skin you need something that will combat this such as a foaming or soap like cleanser. If you have dry skin, you will need a milky cleanser that will be gentle on your skin. I have found that medicated cleansers such as Phisohex or QV wash are great. They don't dry the skin, but they still remove dirt and makeup.

*Make sure that the water you use to wash your face isn't too hot or too cold. It should be warm or tepid.

*Massage the cleanser into your face and neck. You should do this for about a minute, concentrating on problems areas such as the T-Zone (forehead, nose and chin) and temples.

*Rinse the cleanser off and repeat.

*Make sure that your second rinse is thorough, removing all traces of cleanser from your hairline and corners of your nose.

*Pat (and I mean pat) your face dry with a CLEAN towel.

2. Tone

*Many toners can dry and flake your skin. They can also disrupt the pH of your skin.

*If you wish to use a toner, try something natural such as Witchhazel or rose water. Soak a cotton ball and swipe around all the skin on your face and neck.

3. Moisturise

*Try to buy a moisturiser with a pump bottle so you're not constantly having to put your fingers in a tub.

*You don't need a huge glob of moisturiser. Something the size of your thumbnail is definitely enough.

*Use this step as the perfect chance to stimulate your skin with a 5 minute massage. Not only is this relaxation for the muscles in your face, but it also increases blood flow.

Hope these were helpful! Please let me know if these help you.
I'm also thinking about making this a little series of posts as I have so much info in my brain and no one to share it with!
