Proactiv.

I'm writing an article for my site about proactiv and how it works (or how it doesn't work in some cases) and I wondered if anyone here had tried it.

For those who have, could you tell me something about it? How long you used it, if it worked, etc...anything about it basically.

my friend have tried it, and I think it works, he had severe breakout problems, n now his skin texture is getting better. no big acne anymore, though sometimes he has it.

I had it for like 8months. I have oily skin, and it dried me completly. It was ok for the 1st 2 months, but not in the long run!

i used it and it doesnt work it as much as u think it does just depends on ur skin type

Yeah, I don't know but my skin is weird, sometimes it will work then it'll stop working for me, so I guess it does depend on skin type.

the cleanser is too harsh. made my skin really red for a couple of days.

I'm a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant now. Before that, I did use proactive for about 3 years off and on. When I first starting using it, it was great. No acne what so ever. I used it for months, then I stopped for months and broke out like crazy so I ordered it again. I think with proactive you have to continue using it....but....when i started using it again it wasn't working as well. Kept my acne under control but I wasn't satisfied. When I became a Mary Kay Consultant I just started using the products and boy do I love it. My skin is so clear, soft and glowing.

I see commercials for that all over the place. I forgot who the spokesperson is... oh yeah, Jessica Simpson I think. So MK, you used it for awhile, but when you stopped you were worse then before? So that's how they get you to keep using it, if you stop, then you look horrible. How tricky...

I didn't look worse, I just got my acne back. Yea, very tricky...humm

I used Proactiv for the first time about 4 years ago. It worked really well and I was very satisfied. When the products ran out, I stopped. About a year later, pesky pimples came back and I tried Proactiv again. BIG mistake. My skin dried out so badly, no amount of moisturizer would help. It lasted for almost a week and my skin condition got worse.

I don't know what it is with the Proactiv system. My guess is that it only works during a full moon and on odd days of the mnoth. Lol.
