Product Name & Brand: Pure Foundation Mineral, by Maybelline New York
Price: £7.99 as intro price (will be £9.99) My actual review on this product: Well this is the first mineral make-up I've tried- I thought I should what with all the hype. I usually go for maybelline for foundations, as generally they are good quality without being too overpriced! Overall the quality is pretty good- It stays on all day and in comparison to my usual foundation (matte mousse) my skin doesn't get too greasy. At first I was a bit unsure about it, but one day I didnt have much time and I used matte mousse again, and it felt so much greasier than it used to! So I suppose I just hadn't noticed the improvement from using minerals ![]() Another good point about this make-up (apart from the fact that it comes with its own brush) is that it can be thickly layered to double up as a concealer. I found that an (unused) lip-brush was very good for applying the foundation on spots and under-eye darkness. Also as the foundation is a powder, I am now able to skip applying normal powder if I'm running out of time. I'd say that the downside of this foundation is that at first it is quite tricky to apply (I'm still not really used to it) and takes longer than a cream or mousse foundation does in the mornings. It's also a bit messy, so you can;t really take it out with you for public re-application! I'd recommend reeeeaally making sure you had a good match for your skin-tone, as it can be a little bit cakey aand would look quite orange on paler skin. As far as I know, there's not a huge range of colours in the maybelline collection (yet). Would you buy it again? I think I probably would, but it would depend on how long one pot lasts. Mate Mousse usually lasts me ages (like at least 2 or 3 months) and I woudln't want to be paying £10 for foundation more regularly than that. I might try out 17 mineral foundation, as it's a bit cheaper. But yes, I think I probably will. Although I don't know what I would do with so many little brushes!! ![]() hope that review was helpful! I think the maybelline stuff is a good one to start with if you are new to mineral make-up. Has anyone else tried it? Let me know what you think!! Rose xx |

no problem- it's been ages since I've done a review on here. I should do it more often really- but I always seem to buy the same stuff!
