Lightbulb keeping stress out of our lives

i have heard (even I believe) that keeping stress out really helps in getting a glowing and healthy skin. so, what do you people do to kick the stress out of your lives?

what i do is, before sleeping, i take some deep breaths and sometimes listen to those relaxing tapes , they are really soothing

keeping stress out of our lives is very good to do. Stress can cause breakouts. But then again, i think about it this way...i stress because of my breakouts. I mean, who doesnt?? I am going into highschool (even tho my profile says im older). So im 14, with some acne, and i stress over it...especially bcuz school 4 me is Sept. 6th!

For me, I dont really know what i do to keep stress out of my life. I have so much...school work, stuff at my house, my inner problems, my outer problems, friends, boyfriends, sooooo much. The only thing i do that is sorta a stress releiver, is that i go horse-back riding once a week, sometimes twice. I dont no what else i could do. Any ideas for me???

Sit outside in the dark with lots of lit candles and a big cup of tea/coffee/hot chocolate and a warm blanket and read a good book. No matter how stressed you are this will chill you.

espp horse_luver, since i can totally relate 2 ur problems!!!!! even tho, u knw, im nt 14 or whatevrr.

Top Ten Ways to DE-STRESS yourself:

School, boys, fashion, popularity … with so much in a girl’s life – who’s NOT going to get stressed????
“No ways!!! She said that about ME???” “Does he like me?” “Oh wait!! He DOES?!” “No? He said NO???” – how often do you hear these sentences?? How often have u just ended up, in ur bed, staring at the stars – and just wishing ur life would change. If your answer is even close to daily – you totally need a time-off, girlfriend!!
Here’s the list on how to cool yourself, in even the worst situations:

1. Okay, that just HAD to be your worst day EVER!!! Your crush just blew you off, you best friend totally isn’t speaking to you, you nearly flunked your Geography test, your bratty bro won’t let you use the phone – how much worse could things get???? Well, instead of wishing you were someone else –relax girl!! It happens. Jump into the bathroom and wash away your troubles with a warm water shower… guaranteed to work!!!

2. Sleep…!!! Sure, it sounds way babyish (you’re now officially a TEEN!! How can anyone even think about asking u to go to SLEEP? ) – but it’s one of the best ways of relaxation. I mean, after all – no matter how cool u are, u’ve gotta remember ur a material girl – all this Indian, earthy stuff WORKS!!! Lie down for a while, or sit in a meditating pose (cross your legs and sit on the floor), if you can’t get any sleep. It’s sure to help!!

3. Everything in life happens for a logical reason. How often have you sat to find that logical reason??? Take a time off – and THINK over all your problems. You’re sure to solve most of them by just realizing the between-the-lines facts that you’d missed!!

4. Let all your frustrations out by just letting it go. Have a good cry – maybe that’s all you needed in the first place. When all your problems pile up, and you really don’t feel like thinking it over – break down and just let yourself have a good cry.

5. “Can you believe she said my clothes are second-handed?” “No!! I don’t like him!!” “Just great! My cell got lost!!” “How come everything happens only to ME???” – if this is what your conversations usually sound like, you’re the perfect gal for a Via-a-Venathon!! A venting/gripping/ranting session with only your best friends. Go crazy!! Let out all your problems to all your gal pals – and you’ll definitely feel SO much better once its out!! Plus, you’re sure to come up with some great solutions!

6. If u don’t feel like talking to a whole bunch of ur friends over it, call up ur BFF and rant to her about what happened. Or ur other BFF, who’s a guy. (Tip: guys are good listeners!) Or talk to ur mom. I KNOW how weird it sounds – and feels! – but no matter how hard you deny it, face the facts: your mom is one of people who knows you best. If someone can help you, she can!!

7. Dairies!! It takes less than two minutes to pull out a piece of paper and pen – and just GO!! It feels gr88 after u’ve relived yourself of ur problems. And the best part about dairies: no one can tease u (on account of how no one KNOWS!!) and there is NO way anything is going to spread…! Even celebs like Brittney Spears own dairies!! Plus, it makes u very mature and independent – u learn to take on ur worries yourself.

8. Music: If you’re one of those moody people – this is totally thumbs-up for you!! Play peaceful, quite music or your fave songs for a totally relaxation. Try to avoid songs that go near the description of your problems – it’s only going to end up frustrating you!!

9. CHOCOLATE!!!! Who doesn’t love it? and don’t feel guilty about going off your diet – everyone needs a time off once in a while!! Researches have proved that chocolate, ice-cream and junk foods have lightened up the moods of all kinds of people – from working teens to Hollywood stars like Mary-kate and Ashley. Logically, this happens because ur usually not allowed to eat all this – but when ur depressed u feel like treating yourself, and this treat cheers you up. Guys usually tend to prefer warm foods – like pizza or something – while girls go for chocolates, ice-creams and sodas.


10. Distraction: The last opinion. Distract yourself – play your fave games, watch the reruns of your fave TV show, read a book… anything that’ll get your mind off the problems will work!!!
