Default Facial Masks

Hey ya'll... this place has gotten lively!

Question: For those of you who wear masks, how long do you leave them on? Most directions say 30 minutes, but sometimes I leave them on for 45 minutes or even overnite. I think the longer they stay on, the better it works, given you are using the appropriate type of mask. What do you guys think?

Welcome back, we have missed you.
I don't know about leaving a mask on overnight, that is when your skin is rejuvenating its self and it needs to breath. Some of the people I have spoken with says 20 minutes, if it has cleansing property to it(the mask) and for others that over re-hydration 30 is usually the way to get the best benefits.
Hope this help! Now don't disappear again. OK

hi!! if u r using chemical peeling mask than dont use it over night, maximum 20 minuts to 30 mins r fine, then rinse it off, but if u r using masks like tapping different fruits juices(so they dont get hard afterwards) over ur face then u can leave them for more time

TX....it depends on the kind of mask u r giving a try.

Like for nourishing masks (honey / honey-yogurt / tomato-clays) u put them on ur face and neck for at least 30 mins until they get dried or start giving u taut feeling.

For hydrating masks, u keep them until they are dried and start peeling off as they are more watery and leave a thin film on ur face. They usually start getting dried in a couple of miutes or alil more. (lemon-tomato / simple yogurt mask / watermelon juice mask).

For peeling masks, that lightens ur complexion, as cutie said, need to be peeled off. Better rinse those using ur fingers in upward strokes or using a rough, course towel or cloth.

For lightening masks, u put them as the product mention. Or if choosing from the home stuff, then it depends on what combo of things u r using.
Lemon takes not much time.
Cucumber/lemon can be left for alil more duration.

Then clay masks are applied for oil reduction or 'sucktion'. They are put only for 10-15 mins.

The masks that u put overnight are mostly hydrarting. And no damage in using and leaving them for all the night.

Hope i helped u.....

I've only used two types, hydrating masks and clay masks. I'm to scared to use a chemical mask on my own. LOL...I'd rather leave that to the professionals.
Thanks for all your replies and info, I appreciate it. And Judi, I won't disappear again.

^ There in lies the crux of the matter. Follow the instructions if u r using a brand packed mask. Or if giving a try to homemade ones, then it depends on the type of mask.

Actually it depends on what kind of mask you are wearing.. I usually put it for 20 minutes, but before putting any mask I wash my face with a warm water then i clean it by rose-water then I put the mask..

Great thing you do blossom.....If you have that much time and patience then go fot this....

Wash your face with a good foaming cleanser. Wash off with luke-warm water.
Apply the mask best suited to your recent facial condition.
Remove that after a certain amount of time (depending on the type of mask u wearing) using luke warm water again.
Finish with cool splashes of water to close pores.
Now ur skin's Ph level is disturbed so tone ur skin.
And apply ur moisturizer.

Phew.............................................. ...
