Unhappy dead skin on nose

I have dead skin on my nose that makes it look dark. I have had this problem last year, used clearsil ultra and the skin was peeling off so fast. I was wondering if there are any home remedies to use so I can get rid of this!!!!!! It makes me so uncomfortable like everyone is laughing at my nose. I dont really notice it, but my friend said I have a dark nose so I'm like wow..... My nose does look a lot shinier than the rest of my face which makes my nose look big and I have a cute nose!

P.S. I'm using a product called CLEAR PORE CLEANSER/MASK BY NEUTROGENA. This makes the dead skin look worse but the blackheads smaller in size. After I use this, I put lotion on my face avoiding the nose because it makes my skin feel so dry... I really want this gone. THANK YOU : )

P.S.S. I'm africian american if that helps!!!!!

Welcome to the board Rainbow, Have you tried a Facial peel such as Netrogena, or Loreal, Neostrata Micro Peel kits. This might help get rid of the build up of dry skin on that area of your face. Do you use an exorbitant, this as well might help.
How do you clean your face, soap or cleaners for facial skin. Do you use a Ph balanced toner after cleaning your face.
I might be able to help a bit better, is your skin normal, oily, dry or combo.
As well as your age group. Get back to me and I will see what else I can find.
Enjoy the forums.

Exfoliation of the skin is an important step. It can remove the dead skin cells that accumulate on the top layer of the epidermis. Exfoliation will remove this layer and allow the skin to breathe.

Types of Exfoliators

Mechanical Peelings - These types of exfoliators can be comprised of hard ground botanical or natural products, such as apricot seed, micronized silicate or hardened wax crystals. These are usually in a cream base. This is the most common type of product for home use. It is called a 'one phase peeling' because it is directly applied to wet skin and easily rinsed away. The 'mechanical' term is used since your fingertips do the work in scrubbing the skin. There are two types of mechanical peelings:

Peelings that dry on the skin - The amount of drying time influences the peeling effect. The longer the drying time, the better the exfoliation.

Peelings which do not need to dry on the skin - These peelings are workable immediately after application and remain in a 'wet' state.

Enzyme Peelings - These peelings contain ingredients natural enzymes that have an exfoliation effect on the skin. Some examples are pancreas, almond bran, and orange oil. These products are extremely beneficial for those with mature, problem, and oily/unclean skin types. Dead or mature cells are removed, pigmentation spots and discolorations can become lightened, and overall appearance is enhanced with this type of treatment.

Oh ok. I think I might try that. And my nose is dark at the bottom and not the whole nose. My nose wasn't dark like this before. When I peel the skin off of my nose, my nose looks lighter. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF PRODUCTS THAT I CAN BUY TO MAKE THE PEELING PROCESS FASTER? LIKE CHEMICAL PEELS OR THE FACIAL SCRUBS!? THANK U AGAIN!

If you look at the top of this forum I have mentioned a couple of ones that I know that are pretty good (Have you tried a Facial peel such as Netrogena, or Loreal, Neostrata Micro Peel kits.)
Also so for exfoliants Nivea has a nice one that not to pricey and works will with out stripping and being to abrasive.

Yup.....peeling products will get rid of the dead skin cells.....but dont forget to moisturise your skin.....sometimes the skin become a bit dry after exfoliation.......look for oil free moisturiser to handle the shine (look the one that can even out the skintone so your nose will look fairer)......n u can also use mattifier for t-zone

Good luck
