Smile any advice please

I used to have severe acne. But after medication it's kinda under control. Even though, I now have scars that don't seem to heal. It's really frustrating me. I just don't know how to deal with it. That's just one problem that I have. Can you give me tips on choosing a suitable face pack? I'm so lost when it comes to all this. I do want to enhance my looks but am simply LOST when it comes to how it's done.....

Acne scars? You can try vitamin E oil If its fresh scars aloe vera gel is said to help too.

or make a sandalwood paste with rose water and apply on the scars. Keep it overnight and wash it with cold water the next day. If you find that your skin becomes dry in the morning, you leave it only for a few hours on your face or you may try adding some milk while making paste.

Whats your skin type dear?

i like to put oatmeal and water let it dry on my face wash it off...

Dry Skin

- Half a banana
- Table spoon of honey
- Table spoon of sour cream

Combine the ingredients into a bowl. After putting a warm washcloth on your face for a few seconds, put the mixture onto your face and let sit for 10 minutes. Wash off with warm water and for the last rinse of your face use cold water to close pores.

Using just the honey works wonderfully too. Or try combining the honey with oatmeal.

Normal Skin

- One egg yolk
- One teaspoon olive oil
- Dry or cooked oatmeal

Combine ingredients and let sit on your face for 10 - 15 minutes and rinse off with water water, and cold water following for last rinse.

Oily Skin

- One grated apple
- One table spoon honey

Mix well and apply to face for 10 minutes and rinse off with warm water.

-Tomatoes

Crush a tomato (peeled) amd spread it over your face. It contains acids that blance the skins pH level and tightens pores. Leave on for 10 minutes and then rinse off.

Loosen blackheads

- Baking soda
- Water

Mix the two into your head and scrub your face with them for 2 or 3 minutes and rinse.

More ingredients for dry skin:

Avocado

Plain olive oil

Yogurt

More ingredients for oily skin:

Cucumber

Pureed tomato

Carrots
Masks for refreshing skin

- Grapes, cut them in half and rub on your face then rinse

- Strawberries, mush and put on face for 2-3 minutes

- Grapefruit, mush and put on face for 2-3 minutes and rinse.

Scars take awhile to fade. It depends on how deep they are. Using the right product and getting plenty of vitamins and minerals will help.

Here's a list of over the counter treatments:http://www.dermadoctor.com/pages/con...56F9A1916B9%7D

If topical treatments don't work, there's a non-invasive laser that dermatologists use to smooth out scars.

Using lemon juice as a toner is good for fading scars-- but it might be a bit harsh on dry or sensitive skin. Welcome to the forums, by the way!! Hope to see you around great advice here, you will have lots of fun

Neosporin Cream (NOT ointment; that one clogs pores) does wonders for acne scars. Don't plop it on- rub it into your scar for your skin to absorb it.

Something that I've been doing to help with scars is doing a weekly Glycolic Peel and using a 3% BHA. If you have sensitive skin a Lactic Acid peel would help too. Of course these are acids, so be sure to ask questions and read up on what you want to use before using them, but I've never been happier.

I even did a 12.5% TCA peel. Again, it's an acid and not something to play around with. Following directions to a "T" is a must but those are some options as well.

I also know of some people who use Green Cream and love it. I've never used it but it's worth checking out as well.

For people having acne or very oily skin, a traditional face mask made of gram flour is very useful. It not only exfoliates dead cells without harming the skin, it also dries out the excess oil and relieves the skin of stickiness. In fact, it is good to use natural cleansers on acne skin and oily skin. Orange peels are one such method which makes oily skin glow with its essential oils and drying property. You can prepare it at home by drying out an orange peel and then grinding it to a fine mix. It is especially good in summers to clean skin of excessive oil.

Hope it helps
