Hello everyone
I recently (about three weeks ago) started a course of Doxycycline tabletsfor oily skin , and my doctor told me I should stay out of bright sunlight.
I don't really have much of a problem with this, but I am interested to know why this is, also what would happen if I were to be exposed to sunlight for a very long time

Some of these pills can cause skin discoloration if you stay out in the sun for no long, and also sometimes the damage is permanent.

When I was 15 years old I was taking something similar to accutane for my skin. One day I had taken a tablet without eating anything and I went outside to do something. While I was outside, the sun was right on me and I started to get dizzy and my vision got extremely blurry until I completely blacked out. It was a scary situation. I was only out in the sun for about 15 minutes, but that's all it took.

So you have to be careful, because those pills are very strong. Take all the precautions just to be on the safe side.
