It all depends on the oil. Some oils tend to plug pores if you constantly. What I do is once a week I use vitamin E oil on my face and around my eyes, the rest of the week I use a good moisturizer.
Also you might want to think about getting a hydrating mask, you put on for 10-15 mintutes tissue off lightly and what is left on your skin just helps with the dryness and your skin look much better in the morning. Vichy, Biotherm and La Roche Posay all have one of these mask.

i think a cream-based but non-comedogenic mositurizer might help? it tends to be more moisturizing.

Apparently olive oil is very good for dry skin. I haven't tried this before, as I have quite oily skin anyway. You can make a good body scrub by mixing olive oil and salt together and massaging all over your body, then washing off thouroughly. I've used that on my hands before, it's nice. Tell me if you find it helpful

I found this helpful info in a detox book I'm currently reading.
Oils For Face Steaming Dry skin: Atlas cedarwood, geranium, neroli, rose, sandalwood Sensitive skin: jasmine, lavender, Roman camomile, rosewood Oily skin: Grapefruit, lemongrass, patchouli, sweet basil Mature skin and wrinkles: Clary sage, geranium, jasmine, lavender, rose, ylang-ylang Deep clean your face once a week to remove impurities from skin pores. Start off by cleansing your face using your normal cleanser. Next, fill a bowl with hot water and then add a few drops of an essential oil appropriate for skin type. Lean over the bowl with your head covered by a towel and your eyes closed for about 10 minutes. Then apply a moisturizer.

jojoba oil is good for your skin, too.
I use it to remove all-day lipstick, and have used it in the past to remove make up (especially stubborn eye make up). I know a few people who use it as a moisturizer, as well.

I'm one that uses jojoba oil for a moisturizer. It only takes 3-4 drops to do my whole face. It quickly absorbs into your skin, it doesn't 'sit' on it. It is my first step before applying mineral make-up. I also use 1-2 drops mixed with a bit of conditioner, to my wet hair ends. I haven't had any split ends in almost a year. I do not use products with silicone in them. Alot of moisturizers use silicone, mineral oil and petroleum products. These items are difficult to remove and they hinder any moisture trying to get in. They also can clog pores.

I used Vitamin E oil the other day and left it over night. I only applied a little though. It made my skin nice and soft.
