FACT: 99% of skin care products are made of, or have a base (cream) of Animal Fat.
Skin care products have been getting more expensive because companies are putting better ingredients into their products.....but the cream base is still Animal Fat. Enter Nanotechnology: (Read this - and be amazed) How does nanochem work? For starters, it’s very tiny. For lots of applications today, that’s a prerequisite. The miracle surgeries performed in the most modernly equipped hospitals wouldn’t be possible without the use of almost invisible microprocessors. The wonder drugs that we will see in the next few years were unimaginable less than a decade ago. You can stop smoking, practice birth control and regulate your hormonal level with just a tiny patch. It is almost funny, if you think of a band-aid solution, except that all this work takes place in the realm of nanotechnology, or modern science at its smallest stage. The standard unit of measurement, a nanometer, is a billionth of a meter – barely the size of 10 hydrogen atoms in a row. In this tiny universe, entire dramas can unfold on the tip of a pin! Why so small? Researchers have discovered that at this nano-scale (from the Greek word dwarf), matter often behaves very differently. Familiar materials, from amino-acids to vitamins, display startling and unexpected results due to the incredibly fast way that they are accepted by our metabolism. What’s more, researchers have found that since topical creams formulated using nanochem spend less time on the skin’s surface (a lot less), and therefore penetrate and work faster – providing substantial results. Targeted Delivery. In nanochem, smaller is better. Since the purity of materials produced in nano-sized particles must be produced using the strictest quality control standards, most of them were originally developed to be used in the pharmaceutical industry. Why does this matter? Drugmakers have learned that nano’s greater absorption rate will lead to far more efficient dosages of medicines, when delivered at nano specks. Most matter at this scale is chemically reactive, and so scientists are building exquisitely sensitive sensors that can detect individual molecules. Thanks to all that surface area, nanoparticles often appear hypersensitive. Take gold, for example. Although inert when wrapped around a finger or filling a tooth, at its tiniest size it becomes a potent catalyst –one that could be used to purge carbon monoxide from the atmosphere. All this is possible because by isolating molecules, you can also “take away” whatever else has bonded to them that not necessarily belong in the pure chemical composition of that material. Lots of other changes occur when matter sheds itself of unnecessary weight. Some nanomaterials become invisible; others reflect light up to one hundred times better, making for more effective sunscreens. With faster delivery, comes the benefit of avoiding oxidation, the natural process of decay produced by simply being exposed to our environment. Another benefit: no “clumping” of the active ingredient with the heavy waxes and oils used in the conventional cosmetic products of today. Building Blocks One cell at the time. Nature has built a nanolab in all of us, to be exact, in everything that exist in this universe. When carbon atoms transforms into diamonds, or when plants and humans synthesize their own chemicals and vital elements, or when our brains produce chemical reactions that translate into electrical pulses invisible to the naked eye, they accomplish this by following a very precise and designed molecular order. Coaxing the cells to rebuild themselves is easy with this new technology; as cells grow and migrate to the top of the skin, they depend on an innumerable set of circumstances and factors –the last thing that such an awesome natural process needs is the blunt intrusion of the gargantuan-sized materials that are currently being used in conventional formulations. To illustrate, picture a whole basketball court with its eleven players, trying to be pushed trough the basket! Not exactly a swisher…don’t you think? Now picture a tiny dot, the size of a pinprick, being dropped on the court. If the goal is to deliver only the elements that the skin needs to rebuild itself, like peptides, amino-acids, phospholipids and even certain minerals because our metabolisms slow down to a grinding pace and are being bombarded by more and more environmental attacks, then nanochem makes all the sense in the world. One cell at the time, but faster and safer than anything you’ve ever experienced before. Welcome to the age that will take you beyond skin science. The next three years Astonishing new products As this exciting new field of science becomes more and more familiar to all of us, we will benefit from some incredible materials, ingredients and finished goods thanks to the feverish activity that is lead surprisingly not by today’s major companies but rather, as is in skin care by Beyond Skin Science LLC. Within the next two years, diagnostic machines with components built in the nano scale should allow doctors and nurses to carry pint-size laboratories in their briefcases, perhaps to test for HIV or to count blood cells on the spot. Towards the end of this short period, scientists say, new computer memories will conjure up the entire contents of the Library of Congress in to a machine the size of a small toy. These days, scientists can pull off new inventions between coffee breaks, drawing on Mother Nature as their inspiration to arrange matter at a molecular level, and without all the aggregate materials that attaches itself onto raw components. Think of purity and accuracy, without the side effects of everything else that you used to get in conventional products. Most of the first advances using nanotech will improve what we already have. Faster medications, smaller computers, better building materials, stronger and lighter protective clothing. For starters, and no surprise, the industry most affected by this scientific advance is the one that you depend on for just about everything: chemistry. “We heard the call, and brought you the first nanotechnology based line of skin care products. Today”, proclaims Paul Ferron – President and Co-Founder of Beyond Skin Science LLC – Corona California. |

I'm not saying that the use of animal fat in skin products is right, but (as an impartial vegetarian) surely any meat eater who happily buys from fast food restauants where the animals have been mistreated and then killed should not have a problem with this?
On the other hand, what you are saying is that you can provide a better service (so to speak) without the use of animal produce, which I guess can only be a good thing. But then again, I cant help noticing that you have only advertised for your nanotechnology business on this forums, and maybe you would like to introduce your self on the introduvctions page, and participate in some other threads...? |

This is not an issue of animal rights or being a vegetarian.
I’m attempting to point out that the majority of "expensive" , "active" ingredient skin care treatments are nothing more than animal fat. That said, Stearic Acid (Animal Fat) has been used for years and year to make skin care creams. As a base moisturizer it’s fine; as the carrier of active ingredients it doesn’t work. I thought blogs and "threads" were about an exchange of information. |

Hi Paul
I think what Rose is trying to say is that at least the UC threads aren't solely meant for advertising. An "exchange of information", as you say should be objective but it seems like you are merely promoting your product. Although we appreciate your input, maybe you can participate in other parts of the forum as well. hope to see you around

Well put ladies, and they are totally on the money with what they are saying, we do appreciate your input. But please keep this in mind, we are not here to promote any given product and would appreciate the same from new members so please feel free to add your advice, but please no promotions.

i agree with the uc girls on this one. its our choice with what we do with our faces and body, its not yours. sure i hate animals being mistreated, but some of us may have low self esteems and cant go out in the street without having a panic attack because they feel ugly without makeup.
if we dont want to use makeup for the benefit of animals, we wouldnt come to this site. so theres no point in trying to put us off coz it doesent convince some people

I think that Paul was just defining the term what "Nanotechnology" is and what their applications are, ie; in computers, medicine and cosmetology (I think this is the proper word?
)His post looked like an article and the end of it, sounded like promotion in terms of his company using this technology in their cosmetics. BTW, Lancome has been using nanotechnology in their anti-age skin care treatments for at least 5 years. Encapsulating vitamin C and E in nanocapsules... Well, Paul explains what happens... So it has been done before. I think this is a case of Information - "Wow, look at what science research has discovered..." and Benefits - "Wow, look at what we can do for you." I looked at it like an education (new information). At least he wasn't promoting it like other MLM type people who have attempted it here before, enticing us with GWP's...
