Question Help, dried lips, need mositure

Hey anyone got feedback on what I can use on my lips to keep them from drying out? I've tried the clinique stuff for lips but it's not really doing anything for me.

Try not to lick your lips, this doesnt help

Soak them to Hydrate them, use cool salt water compresses daily

or Vaseline or a lip balm containing waxes or lanolin to hold the moisture in

I am out an about a lot throughout the day, what do you suggest I can carry with me that I can apply easily. I live in Florida and it's really hot this time of year, so my lip dry easily. I do apply lip lotion when I'm in the sun but during work I'm in and out of offices all day and need to have something easy to carry and apply.

I would try a lip balm, like Blistex, that has a good sunblock of 30SPF or higher. And keep reapplying it during the day. I find if I go outside without sunblock on my lips I will usually end up with noticeably dry lips. Hope this helps!

RoC has an excellant lip balm with a built in SPF rating I think it 30 or 35.
I found this really helped me get my lips back to a nice softness after I was sick. And I always use it anytime I go out even under lipstick.

1 word; VASELINE.
You can buy it in small tubs which are easy to carry around, and if you apply it every night and every morning (you can use it as a base for your lipstick once it has sunk in a bit) then it clears dried lips right up. It's really cheap too. Seriously, I used this all through the winter and my lips were really lovely and soft. You can also buy vaseline with spf 15, which is especially useful if you are using it as a base as to much exposure to the sun can cause your lips to eventually become thinner, due to a loss of collagen.
You could also condition your lips by putting on loads of vaseline (or any other lip balm) and making tiny circles on your lips with a soft-bristled toothbrussh (childrens toothbrushes are ideal).
Hope some of that was helpful.
welcome to the forums, by the way

Burt's Bees lip balm works wonders. It's brilliant. I highly recommend it.

Vaseline is one of the best products I've come across for this problem. I keep a small tub in my handbag and it makes your lips look fuller too..
