Default Sun Burn

If you have been out in the sun for too long, i found this recepie to help.

What you need:
Egg white
Honey
Bowl
Procedure:
In a large bowl mix together the egg white and the honey. Continue to stir until it becomes sticky and thick. Apply to the damaged face for 5 minutes. And wash face thoroughly with a mild facial soap. Sometimes it would be advisable to wash face with lukewarm water alone to avoid skin complications of sun-burned damaged skin

Applying aloe vera gel on sunburnt skin will ease the burning sensation.
Do not scrub your skin as this will aggravate the healing process.

Hi Ultimate Princess,

If you will spend long time under the sun, make sure you apply sunblock with a high SPF with UVA and UVB filters. The difference between suncreen and sunblock is that the former denatures UV rays only and some of it may be absorbed. It usually has a SPF of less than 15. Whereas sunblock blocks out and reflects the harmful rays, just like the mirror. It usually has a SPF of more than 15.

For after suncare, wash your face in cold water and no scrubbing. You may want to apply cucumber slices on the sunburnt area. Applying Vit E cream or aloe vera gel will speed up the healing process. Scotland is located in the Northern hemisphere, be particularly careful in high altitudes and tropical climates as radiation is more intense in these areas. Do remember to wear high SPF and to reapply often. Also, some medicines(Accutane I think for acne) can make your skin sensitive to the sun.

Hope this helps. =)

the one thing I will mention about not using on a sunburn is Noxema. It feels great but it will lead to blistering. Which is not so great.

This may sound strange but yogurt helps 100 percent..its deffintly the best remedy i know of... rub some plain yogurt on the burnt area...leave it for about 15 mins take a warm shower...and it will take the burning feeling away
