no matter what i do, my eyelashes will NOT hold a curl! my eyelashes are short and thin and in no way heavy. i curl my them with an eyelash curler that has been heated up with a hairdryer for a few seconds before i apply mascara, then i apply the 'maybelline waterproof lash stylist' mascara straight away and the curl looks great! the problem is, the curl always droops in minutes and looks horrible, ive tried lots of mascara's, high end ones, to cheaper ones but nothing holds curl and im lost on what to do. help! any ideas?! thanks :P xx and also, wen applying mascara should you let the coats dry before you apply more?! |

Have you tried the old fashioned method of using a teaspoon and the warmth of your hand to curl you lashes, alot of models still use this method and say it last longer.
Alway try to apply the second coat when still wet from first coat or it can become clumpy and take the curl out.

Before you apply mascara dust your lashes with loose powder 'cos you have thin lashes and this will make them build some volume.
Then look down into a mirror and first curl your lashes like how Judi suggested, afterwards start applying mascara starting from the roots, meaning as close as poosible to the lash line. If you're applying to your lower lashes look up into a mirror. You can seperate lashes if they stick together after applying, by using an eyelash comb. Remember not to use the same mascara over a period of 6 months or so and normally for best results you need to replace it every 4-5 months in my opinion. Hope this helps... ![]()
