When it comes to the face and moisturizers sometimes it takes a while to find one that works well. Neostrata has several that work at all levels, oily, acne, dry, sensitive, combo and normal. So does Vichy, bio-therm, La Roche Posay.
One of the simplest ways to find something you like is to go shopping not to buy your hunt would be for test samples. All reputable firms send out samples with there products so it gives people a chance to try before you buy. Most cosmetics counters want repeat business so ask for assistance have them show you a couple of lines and ask for samples. This way your not wasting your money and you may find the one that works well for your skin. Give it a try. Also if you live in a rural area you can also contact the company for samples they do have help lines for this being one of the main purpose;

I have a ssimilar problem- my skin is pretty oily so I only ever moisturise on my cheeks (and sometimes my forehead) but although my skin initially feels very soft, it gets oily after a few hours. I would recommend maybe just applying moisturiser in the mornings as opposed to morning and evening (this way your make-up will go on more easily but hopefully your skin wont get as oily). Or alternate the days on which you moisturise. Remember, not all skins need moisturiser- you might not need to use it for at least a few more years.

I have oily skin and I typically only use moisturizer in the cooler weather, then I usually only need it on my cheeks and under my eyes. A jar of moisturizer lasts me a long time, so I try to find one that is light and easily absorbed. Last year I liked Lancome's Resolution, but it was available in 2 formulas, one for normal to dry and one for normal to oily. This year it's been improved and is called High Resolution and doesn't come in a lighter formula for oily skin, so I won't be using it any more, I'll have to find something new.

theres one or 2 moisturisers out there especially for fighting blemishes: L'oreal Purezone is the only 1 i can think of right off the top of my head, but I know theres more!!

Also, Dreamer, maybe you could try Tea Tree Mattifying Moisture Gel from the body sshop. It's oil free, and although it's not blemish fighting, it is especially for oily skin. This may work for you too, blackbird

well if u have oily skin..do not use vaseline coz it makes the skin more oily, as the sebum will release more oil to balance the oil of upper and lower skin... however do use a moisturizer..preferbaly oil free...coz u need 2...
