Vaseline keeps any moisture in the air from your body. It protects your lips but doesn't help moisturize them.

I put 2-3 drops of jojoba oil (you can use other oils) in my palm and a dab of clear aloe vera gel, with 1 drop of glycerin (humectant). I've been using this every day for about a week and my lips are not flakey and dry anymore. The glycerin will taste sweet. You can find the clear aloe vera gel at walmart in the lotion department. It's Fruit of the Earth brand. About the oils, just make sure they are 100% oil.

I use carmex myself.....if your lips are really chapped it might burn when you put it on but it honestly helps me.....Ive tried all different kinds of lip balms but I've found carmex to work the best

Vasoline doesn't do the trick, it doesn't penetrate. Try LanoLip it is a brand new lip balm made with lanolin, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil and vitamin e. It is natural with no wax or chemicals. LanoLip actually heals and protects your lips. Go to www.lanolip.com/jennie read the testamonials.
