Default makeup break = clear skin?

well, i was thinking, seeing as i wear makeup everyday, and i have blemishes, blackeheads and the odd spot, well if i took a long break from wearing zero face makeup, would my skin be any clearer?

thanks in advance

I think it depends on your skin.
I tried it a couple of years ago. I had the same issue, and wondered if not wearing any make up would help clear up my skin. It seemed to me that it did at the time, but when I started wearing it again my face still didn't break out, so I don't really know if it was the break from make up or not. I know it does take a couple of weeks for your skin to adjust.

It's also possible that taking a break from make up allowed my skin to clear up and by starting with a clear face, maybe when I started wearing it again I was more careful about what products I used. I don't know.
I'm not much help, I'm just saying I've been there, so I understand! LOL

For me it does.

I no longer wear any cover up/powders or anything, only eyeliner and mascarra

My face gets atleast 2x clearer that way

It never hurts to take a break, let your skin "breathe". Just remember to always wear sunscreen, even in the winter. My uncle's a Doctor and he's always reminding me about the dangers of skin cancer :0
