Default Search for products that will calm down irritated face

I have been on the search the last few months for a product that will "calm" down the red irritation that I get on my face after washing it. I want to use it in the morning before applying my makeup. It's like a thousand little red capillaries show up all over my face and it takes an hour or longer for them to disappear.

When I went to the makeup lady at Clarins for a session, she said she barely touched my face and it became irritated. I tried their Gentle touch products, including their skin restoration serum, but no luck.

I'd like some recommendations on any products you have used that have helped with this problem. Thanks!

Try Avene, Aveno, Clinaderm and La Roc Posay
these are all made of really sensitive skin and also will help with reoccurring redness.

I've used a few products in the past that have helped when my skin was irritated from eczema. Ones that worked for me:

Logona Free Moisture - http://logona.com/Logona_E/Free/index.html

Camocare - http://www.camocare.com/ ~ http://www.camocare.com/product_soothing_crm.html

And my favorite - California Baby http://californiababy.com/

Aveeno has a line called "Ultra Calming" which contains feverfew, it's very good for sensitive skin.

Thanks, everyone for the suggestions! I don't use Aveeno due to the cruelty issue but Eucerin is a cruelty-free product! And, as javagrannie stated it has calming products...an entire line of them!

I'm going to check them out tomorrow. And, I'm really interested in the Logona products too. They also oppose animal testing. However, where do you buy their products in the US? Just online?

Thanks again everyone!

I get Logona from my local whole foods store. I'm not sure if it's available in major retail stores.
