Default Burn Marks

I was working in a lab awhile ago and... there was a bit of an explosion, and I got these burn marks all over me. Of course I'm going to be compensated, but I need a good product to remove these all now! This is bad, I've never experienced something like this before...

Hi JKander,

Burns are "serious" business ... and depending upon the type of burn and the actual damage to the skin ... you just might not be able to "remove" them.

In any case ... a burn specialist should be able to advise you on what, if anything, plastic surgery can do for you.

I would at the very least, check with your family doctor to see what he/she thinks can be done, if anything, about the resultant marks.

I'm sorry that you've suffered this disfiguration ... but that's just what it might be ... a disfiguration. There might not be anything you can do in terms of removing them.

Many burn victims use special makeups to "cover" the most-seen areas of their bodies ... and mineral makeup just might be the ticket for you.

Good luck

Mary

Damn... I didn't know it was this serious. Well I'll wait a little to see if they'll heal on their own (probably not) and then I'll see a doctor. Most likely I'll be choosing the latter of my self made options, I'm scared.

Well ... I didn't mean to scare you ... but I presume since it was a lab that your burns might be chemical burns?

At any rate ... I know that when my mother had Cobalt treatments [radiation therapy] some 40 years ago, the treatment "burned" her skin ... which to this day looks stretched and "slick".

Now ... if these are just minor burns, they may heal without scarring ... but I've got scars on my hands from relatively minor burns.

If the explosion involved caustic materials ... well ... you know what a caustic substance can do to your skin. I would suspect that, given that you will be compensated for this, the situation and the resultant burns were considered to be somewhere above the "minor" category.

If, however, the actual burn sites aren't very large ... then you might be able to do wonders in the healing process with Vitamin E. Just take a Vitamin E capsule, make a hole in it with a pin and squeeze out the vitamin E over the individual spots. Who knows? You may at least minimize the scarring ... and you might just manage to avoid scarring of some sites altogether.

There are several topical "scar" treatments out on the market [check your drug store] now ... but I don't know what type of scars these things help.

Since things are still in the healing process ... I'd try the Vitamin E and see what happens with that.

Has a doctor looked at these burns at all?

Mary

I know someone who had really bad burns and they used silvadene in a wound clinic. Have you seen the doctor?

Yes, I agree, and with the Vitamin E treatment as well.

Massage sesame seed oil daily on the area. you can mix gram flour with curd ,adding a pinch of turmeric. Apply the paste daily and wash it off when it dries. Massage a cream into the skin is still damp.

consult a doctor about taking vitamin E, which is said to have a healing effect.

You can try applying honey on the area , as honey is a powerful moisturiser.

Hy JKander..How are you? Here is a tip to subside your burn marks,,Daily u make it a point to apply.. Honey.. all over the burnt place.. Please be patient.. And make it a point to apply honey.. everyday... And within no time these burnt marks will subside and.. disappear.. into your skin.. The tip wht i've suggested..does not cost u much. Instead of going to some, creams.. and lotions.. YOu can try this natural.. stuff,,.And you can also.. use garlic.. but it burns a lot.. Anyways.. try the honey tip.. and u'll find the positive result. Wish you good luck.
