Sammie-
I have been using something for a few months now and it's has been almost a miracle for me. I know that sounds so stupid...
but there is this brand new product that makes your face kind of peel. It's made of these minerals that are almost as hard as diamonds. You put this on your face and it feels like sand paper at first, but then as the crystals absorb the nasty layers of skin, the sand paper feel gets really smooth and it takes layers off one treatment at a time. It's not your store bought junky microdermabrasion. I tried that and yes it made my skin softer, but my scars and skintone didn't change jack. They call this pharmaceutical grade microderm X. I first heard about it from a nurse who deals a lot with the skin. I had such wonderful results that I sent my photos to this yahoo site where all of the customers who are having good results can add theirs to it. There are several now and because it's a brand new product, I would think there will be more. They don't advertise it anywhere so it's not so easy to find on the net. But, I think you can get the email address from the yahoo before/after photo area and see if you can try some samples. I am not sure if they are still giving out free samples or not, but if they aren't, I think it's very worth the price. It has taken care of most of my wrinkles and lines and about 60% or more of my acne scars and I am only on a couple of months treatment. You DON"T use a hand tool. I heard these can make your skin sag and that you can't control the pressure. And, you want to use your ring finger around your eyes because it's most tender. It doesn't really hurt, it just feels wierd and kind of gritty at first until the crystals are done doing their augmenting thing, then it's baby bottom smooth. Here is the before/after photo group that I've joined. Try to get a before photo and then send yours in too after you give it a couple of months.

Now if you can help me find a good product for my spider veins, I'd be forever grateful...that is one of the reasons I actually came on here, was to see if there are any new products that help with that. I found out about the other stuff from message boards, so I guess I've had pretty good luck on boards. I've never been here but it looks informative.

My derm has me on hydroquinone it helps. I have dark skin so it takes longer. The MD Forte line of skincare offers a glycolic acid based line that has worked wonders on my skin and I have had acne for 17 years and I have tried everything. Make sure that you always, always wear a SPF 30 sunscreen or the sun will just darken your marks. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!

Wow, thanks Gigigirl and BeautifulGorgeous,

I really appreciate the help. I'm going to check out both of these products. I have heard of the MD Forte - I think one of my dermotologists has that line - but I didn't like the other ingredients in some of their stuff (I'm an ingredient junkie - it has to have really good ingredients!) but I'm going to check them both out. Thanks so much!!

No Problem.
How long have you had skin problems? Be very careful with recommendations. Everyone can try to sell a product on here and tell you it's great. I always ask them to show me their own before and afters and ask for the ingredients. I won't put any fillers or chemicals on my face. I learned that lesson a long time ago!

I love MD Forte! Glycolic acid products are so great becasue they don't irritate your skin but they still exfoliate well. Here's a link to where I buy this great MD Forte cleanser: http://www.realdeal.cc/

there is this website www.SkinRxClinic.com and they have a microdermabrasion peel that is superb!! i have the 2oz jar it is more of a scrub and not a liquid peel or anything!! they also have chemical peel kits. i was afraid at first because my skin is sensitive but they give you instructions and all of the tools you need to apply it. i think it is great but if you ise something like retin-a within two days of it, your face will dry out big tyme but anyway...i like them!!

Smile Home-made recipes for reduction of Acne/any fresh scars:)

Hi;

Treatment of Pimples / Acne / Any fresh scars.

Collect ripe black seeds of Gulbaaz plant. Cut the seeds and remove the white portion from inside. Rub this white potion in water over a stone and make a thick paste. Apply this paste over fresh scars, pimple marks etc and it will slowly fade away. Apply this paste everyday and leave it on the skin till it dries off.

Acne: Rub the seed of date ( Khajoor) in a few drops of vinegar and make a thin paste. Apply over the pimples and let it remain till 2-3 hours. Preferably applied at bedtime.

The paste of cumin seeds (jira) applied over pimple gives relief.

The paste of nutmeg (jaiphala) made with milk can be applied over the pimple.

This is an excellent remedy to get rid of those ugly acne scars. Blend the sandalwood paste and rose water and apply on the scars. Keep it overnight and then wash it off with cold water the next day. This does wonders to your skin!

Apply raw sliced potato on the face. Reduces blemishes and other scars.

Buy some fresh coconuts and take out their water ,freeze that water in the form of cubes .use them daily on your scars twice a day.it will take time ,depends how old are they.

Mix pumpkin oil and olive oil and use on your scars daily and then leave overnight.(4 months)

Thanks & Regards

Tomato lotion

Camphor lotion ½ tsp
Tomato juice 1tsp
Honey 1tsp

Mix all the ingredients well and apply the paste on the face . leave it on for 15 minutes. Then wash off with lukewarm water followed by a cold water rinse .it is also good for removing spots caused by pimples
