Hi.
. I have naturally very dry skin. But I put olive oil in night and nivea body lotion during day. Tho now my skin is soft, I have these light brown very small boils on my arms, on the pores from which hair comes. It makes me uncomfortable to wear sleeveless. Do suggest affordable commercial or home made solutions. Swathi. |

A Boil is a bacterial infection which arises when a sebaceous gland is blocked or a hair ingrow in its follicle. It grows from the root to the surface of the skin (channel). As it is infectious it spreads easily from one hair to another and forms clusters.A cluster or interconnected network of boils is known as carbuncles.
To avoid the infection from spreading clean the skin around the boil with alcohol. The pain can be reduced by soaking the boil in warm water and also speed the draining of the pus. After the boil drains out clean the area and dress it up with a clean bandage. Do not press the boil downwards as it may cause the infection to spread. In case the boil keeps recurring you need to supplement your diet with Vitamin A and E as the lack of it can also be the cause of boils. Boil causes extreme dicomfort to children. As there is treatment available for it so consulting the doctor is advisable. Pediatricians incise a boil and completely drain the pus out of the boil. The doctor may advice tests in some cases as the cause may be deficiency or even diabetes How To Prevent Boils · Maintain hygiene and wash hands frequently · Ensure that the child bathes frequently · Prevent your child from touching other children’s boils · Provide adequate treatment by covering the boil and preventing it from spreading |
