Default Anyone know of a remedy for a spreading itching body rash?

My son has contracted a very itchy rash that is spreading up his torso. He thinks he may have gotten it from an ex girlfriend who had the same thing. He has had it for a couple of months now and it consists of red spots, mainly small like measles, with some being larger. They are all over his torso, crotch, hands and elbows. Nothing on his upper body or face though. He has a doctors appointment tomorrow, but in the meantime, has anyone experienced something similar that they have succeeded in getting rid of? Because doctors advice isn't always satisfactory.
Thanks for any advice.

Try an oatmeal bath - put oatmeal (large flake) in a sock and run it under warm (not hot) water as it goes in the tub - kind of like a tea bag. One of my kids has eczema and this helps with the itching. You can brows www.mamaherb.com
to know more remedies for resolving it.

Always seek the diagnosis of a doctor or dermatologist first and in person, rather than seek that kind of advice here on a beauty forum.

Let us know what your doctor has diagnosed, then perhaps a UC member could suggest a natural home remedy for your son's condition.
