Tips

*Apply blemish treatments before moisturizer for best results.
* Pat {Don't Rub} skin dry with a towel so you won't irritate it.
*A dirty cell phone can cause acne. Wipe it daily with astringent.
*Carry face-blotting paper to help you quickly soak up daytime oil.
*Wash with cool or lukewarm water; it's less drying than hot.

---I really worked hard typing all this, so i really hope this stuff is good for y'all!

*Tell me the results, if you decide to use any of it!

While I hate to counter "conventional wisdom", the procedure for oily skin is the absolute worst thing you can do. I don't know about the other skin types, but I do know about oily skin.

The suggested procedure will do nothing but strip your oily skin of oils. This may seem like a good idea initially, but what it tells your system is "Hey! It's parched up there on the skin surface! Let's get busy and produce even more oil to counter it!

Oily skin is a result of over-active sebum glands. By stripping the skin of the surface oils, you are making those over-active sebum glands work even harder.

What you want to do is let them know that they don't have to work as hard ... to change the "over-working" sebum glands into "working just enough" sebum glands.

The aim is to change oily skin into "normal" skin.

To do that, you have to use a rich cleanser ... one that doesn't strip your skin but leaves it clean, soft and supple.

I use OCM ... Oil Cleansing Method. If you do a search on "Oil Cleansing Method" you'll find lots about it.

In two months, my oily skin was normalized.

Now, just in case you're thinking I'm without extensive experience ... I'm in my mid-50's and have suffered from oily skin and acne since my teenaged years. Up until recently, I followed the "conventional wisdom" ... and used all those products, both expensive and less so, that promised "clearer skin" yada, yada, yada. They didn't and my skin didn't improve. They might work for a while ... but they'll stop working and your skin will become immune to them.

Do yourself a favour and save yourself years of grief and thousands of dollars on useless products.

Do some research into OCM.

Mary
