I have heard from a number of people that absorption of aluminium into the human body may be a contributing factor in a person who develops Alzheimer' s disease. Is this correct, and is it safe to cook in aluminium saucepans?

That sounds like something we should send to mythbusters...

i have heard this also. i know iron skillets and frypans cook some iron into your food. i don't know about aluminum pans. i am in big trouble if they do because i have used aluminum pots most my life. now i have stainless steel but i am sure they will come up with a study that says it somehow causes something also.

I would think if it does, it couldn't be more than just trace amounts.
Sounds like hype to me.
