Question tanning with freckles?

Is it possible to get a tan with freckles? I have very fair skin and I am currently using actifade to lighten my freckles, but I also wouldnt mind darkening my overall skintone slightly to match up with the faded freckles, so I won't be so PALE anymore!

any suggestions on how I should go about this... I don't even know where to start.. I don't want to tan cuz then I'll just get all my freckles back! and I was thinking about self tanner, but I never used it before and.. I dont know much about it...

any info would be appreciated =)

If you are using something to lighten you freckles you should not be going to tan at all. Freckles are a natural pigment in your skin and the more you tan normally the darker they become. Freckles give a freshness to the face and there are people that try to obtain the look. I have at freckles all my life and they make me who I am, I would not want to part with them. But that is my choice. If you are serious about becoming darker try a self tanning lotion. But stay away from the sun, and always use a sunscreen or you have more problems than when you started (sunscreen should be SPF 15 or higher since you are fair. Hope this helps.

Use a good self-tanner or skin bronzer (St. Tropez, Trucco, Bain de Soliel, Coppertone, Neutrogena are all good brands and make excellent self-tanning products)...or visit your local tanning salon and get a spray-on tan. With freckles, you need to be hyper-aware of skin damage and cancer, so whatever you do, stay out of the sun (or wear an SPF 15 or higher sunscreen) and do not use tanning beds.

yup, I heard you could actually get addicted to tanning beds!

I tried using this bronzing powder that my boyfriend's mom has, I just mixed it in with my SPF15 lotion, and it works wonders =) I look like I have some color to my face, and you could hardly see my freckles at all. of course it washes off in the shower tho.

How long do self tanners last? and how long does the spray-on tan from a tanning salon last? is there much of a difference?

thanks for all the info <3

Without regular maintenance, self tanners will last from 3-7 days.
