Any suggestions for the mustache lip and facial hair removal for woman? I currently use a hair remover wax strip kit. I find I need to still tweeze some minor hairs on my upper lip which is quite painful no matter how many times I do it. So I am looking a inexpensive and a less painful procedure. Any help or suggestions is a great help.

Less painful?
hehe. waxing is quite good, but i agree the minor hairs are irritating. threading is quite like tweezing but its pulling a straight line of hairs at a time..so it quite painful. but its quite good as it helps take out most of the hairs. You can get others to do it for you too, and its quite cheap..and never ever shave !!maybe you want to give it a try, or maybe not (the pain factor ) |

i rekomend threadin . . . coz wen u thread the hairz grow back slower and thiner. . . you get used 2 the pain after a bit. . . put talconpowder aka baby powder on the upper lip area to reduce the pain. . . and you can try rubbin an ice cube ova da area 2 numb da pain.

I would opt for a professional. The delicate facial hair needs to be dealt with carefully. Waxing in salons isn't all that expensive either, and you can touch it up at home if there are strays. Some good salons even offer numbing agents, so you don't feel a thing.

Great advise Kam, that is the only way to go. For me anyway.

Waxing strips is a great way of removing facial n lip hair, i guess. Still u can appIy aloe vera to have a cooling effect after waxing.
If u r looking for an inexpensive hair removal method, u can use the 'sugaring' technique. All u have to do is to take..... 2 cups sugar ¼ cup water ¼ cup lemon (nimbu) juice Pour the sugar, water and lemon juice in a saucepan, and heat it over a low flame. Keep stirring the mixture until all the sugar has melted, and you have a thick brown liquid. Let it cool slightly. Test the temperature before applying the wax to your skin. It should be hot, but not scalding, or you can burn yourself. Once the wax has cooled slightly, test it on your finger. Blow on it to cool it with your breath and apply it to your skin with a butter knife, in the direction of hair growth. Place a clean cotton cloth strip on the wax and yank it against the direction of hair growth. Wipe the area clean with a cold cloth after you’ve finished waxing. You could also apply ice to the waxed area, to close and tighten pores. You may notice that your skin has turned red, or that you have tiny bumps on the skin immediately after waxing. This is a normal reaction, and the redness and bumps should disappear within an hour. Applying a moisturizer or soothing lotion will help. If you can still see sugar particles in the wax, the hair will probably not come out and you would need to re-cook the wax. |

when u wax the hair[over time] does come back thinner right? unlike if u shaved it would come back darker and more coarse
[just clarifying-im kinda squeamish when it comes to these things]

I apply bleech on my face. But I want to tell that wax(as Jia has suggested) should be done on legs and hand only. One should wax her face. you can use hair removing cream too.
