Wink Finding a good moisturiser

I moisturise my face every day but I'm having a hard time finding one that doesn't make me sweat! I've been using Body Shop's vitamin E moisturiser which is a lovely product but a couple of minutes after applying it, my face starts sweating particularly in the T-zone and most noticeably on my top lip. It gets so bad that I have to blot my face and then apply a face powder and I worry that that may affect the effectiveness of the product? Does anyone have any suggestions for a good moisturiser that won't make me sweat? I have combination skin. Thanks guys!

I do have combination skin.....I think vit E from bodyshop is too thick though the company claim it's for all skin types....
look for moisturizer that is really for combination skin.....sometimes all skin types product is just not fit. Look for product that is oil-free such as lotion or light oil-free cream like the one I used......I never sweat after I apply them unless I run around neighborhood

I suggest a sunblock rather than an average moisturizer, especially if you're outdoors a lot and active.

Here are a couple to consider:

Neutrogena® Active Breathable Sunblock offers high performance, skin-friendly sun protection for your active lifestyle.

Sweat-proof and waterproof, this breakthrough StayPut™ formula adheres to skin to provide durable sun protection that resists running into your eyes. The lightweight lotion contains silica powder to absorb oil, so there's no greasy residue and your skin can breathe. Parsol 1789® provides broad-spectrum protection, helping to guard against damaging UVA rays and UVB rays.

Neutrogena® Healthy Defense® Oil-Free Sunblock

Goes on easily and evenly. Lightweight and fast-absorbing, this formula won't clog pores to help prevent breakouts.

Non-comedogenic (won't clog pores)

Oil-free

Sweatproof

Waterproof

Sounds like you have a sensitivity to the Body Shop's Vitamin E moisturizer.

You can try another brands' Vitamin E moisturizer...

I agree with lynlee..
Like Lynlee said, i think you should go for a sunblock. Try to get products that don't clog your pores instead. Not sure whether its the same in your place, but you can test the product on your face before you buy it, so maybe you want to try them first.Alternatively, you can get the salesperson/derm to recommend you too

I suggest using a moisturizer with spf of at least 15. That way, you don't have to apply separate sunscreen. Also, make sure the moisturizer you choose is specifically-formulated for your combo skin.

I find Aveena's moisturizer really good. It is called Positively Radiant and it has SPF 15 built in. It is good for all skin and your skin can breath which is so very nice. Hope this helps.

Thumbs up

PureDeming makes something called Intense Gel, it's a super moisturizer that you leave on for 15-45 minutes then wash off. It's loaded with Vit E, ALA, DMAE, Vit C, Jojoba...all the good stuff. They also have a product called Pure Vitamin Therapy that's a creme moisturizer with emu oil and idebenone.
The company has a 70% repeat customer rate.

PURE VITAMIN COMPLEX
Our antioxidant-packed moisturizing crème contains a potent anti-aging nutrient mix including idebenone, Vitamins A, B5, C, D & E, coenzyme Q10, Alpha Lipoic Acid, DMAE & idebenone. Idebenone is thought to be the most revolutionary new topical antioxidant to date and has been found to effectively combat the signs of aging with the ability to protect cells and inhibit inflammation. The Pure Vitamin Therapy Crème will help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as reduce skin roughness and dryness. Containing idebenone at 0.1% will allow those many who have sensitive skin, or cannot tolerate higher levels of Idebenone without sever irritation, to safely reap the benefits associated with this new break-through ingredient while super-moisturizing the skin. If you want to read more about Idebenone, simply google, “Prevage.” Note: this is a high-antioxidant moisturizer. Prevage & Isomers are idebenone-based products [1% idebenone]. Our PVT is simply an anti-oxidant packed moisturizer that contains idebenone, along with other antioxidants.

Ingredients

Aloe Vera, Deionized Water, Emu oil, glycerin, collagen, elastin, stearyl alcohol, glyceryl monostearate, with Natural Vitamin E Oil, Shea butter, dextrin, cetyl alcohol, DMAE , idebenone [0.1%], sodium hyaluronate, allantoin, vitamin C palmitate, coenzyme Q10, vitamin D3, Alpha Lipoic Acid, vitamin B5, vitamin A palmitate, tetrahydropiperine, laureth-23, EDTA, sodium bisulfite, methyl and propyl parabens.
Idebenone is a synthetic analog of one of life's most essential biochemicals, coenzyme Q10 (Co Q10). A powerful antioxidant, this newly discovered ingredient has been found to effectively combat the signs of aging brought on by factors such as sun-exposure, age and pollution. Studies show that Idebenone is more powerful in preventing cell damage than the most topically-used other antioxidants of Vitamins E & C, Coenzyme Q10, Kinetin, and Alpha Lipoic Acid. This ingredient is the wave of the future in anti-aging antioxidant topicals. You will see it in more and more topicals as people become more educated [much in the same way that only a few Vitamin C-based topicals existed 5 years ago. Yet, now most lines from upscale to drugstore have a Vitamin C based product in their product line].
