Default Does stidex and other like products really help with acne?

Does stidex and other like products really help with acne? I am just curious if they really do help. Or do these products really dry the skin. I have heard some of my friends get a vitamin A treatment from a skin Dr. but they look so much in discomfort after the treatement. I dont know if I would want to go that far. Especially if I have mild to moderate acne issues.

I have tried Stridex before when I was a teenager. It really irritated my skin. The Stridex pads burned and caused my whole face to be red. I guess I kept using them because my friends used them--peer pressure. haha

Like most skin products, results vary for each person. However, if you have sensitive skin, then I would not recommend you use it.

I use Tea tree oil and I find it much better than Stridex. I like Lynnlee had a reaction to it.

Used them when I was younger but I prefer gentle facial cleanser. Harsh products don't do really good.

Default I like a new stridex product

I just started using Stridex Power Pads. They have 2.5% benoyl peroxide soaked pads that are individually packaged. They keep my acne under control

In my expierences with otc products, they merely helped at all. It's wierd how one person can use it and see magnificent results, and another worsen! But I guess everybody is different. I have never tried Stridex, but my favorite brand in the drugstore is probably Nuetrogena. Here are a few guidelines:

-Try new products until you find what works well for you.
-Don't used any alcohol-based products, as they can be very drying.
-Don't overdo any product. That's never good.
-Opt for a gentle cleanser, like Cetaphil. Try a gentle cleansing regimen for a few weeks and see if you notice a difference.
-If your acne really bothers you and it's more than a few, you might want to look into getting something more powerful and less drying. Like a 3 step system, or make a visit to the derm.

Hope this helps.
