Wash your face at night instead of during the day. When you wash your face, make sure the water is slightly warm but not hot. Hot water can dry your skin. When you're done washing your face, apply some frangrance-free lotion to your wet face. The lotion will absorb better that way. Make sure to use lotion every night.

Yeah season can influence your skin that's why someone should adapt their skin regime if the season change......in summer u might want a bit light cream, a refreshing cleanser, but in winter u should use a bit heavy formulation for moisturiser n a moisturising cleansing product since cold weather can increase dryness n dryness can lead to sensitivity
I think u should opt wipe off cleanser instead of wash off one like I said on the other forum.....contact with water can increase dryness. N change your moisturiser into a bit heavier formula....remember to choose that is fragrance free.....allergy tested, etc...... |

B/t read this too Angel dear!
Skin care tips for winter Using baby oil to remove make-up is great but wash your face well with soap and water afterward or also your pores will get clogged. The skin on your feet tends to dry and crack more in winter. Treat your feet to a relaxing soak at night, three times a week. Do not bathe or shower in very hot water. Warm water is much gentler on your skin. Do not bathe more than once a day if your skin is very dry. If you develop severely dry skin, eczema, or "winter itch," see your dermatologist. He or she can prescribe a mild steroid cream or other treatment to restore your skin to good health. Avoid exposing skin to harsh winter elements such as freezing temperatures and drying cold winds. If you are using a product with tretinoin, such as Retin-A or Renova, be especially vigilant about wearing sunscreen you are more liable to sustain sunburn. If you have sensitive skin, you may need to cut back on using sloughing products such as alpha-hydroxy acids, as they may exacerbate dry, irritated skin. Apply the moisturizer at least twice a day, once after your cleansing routine in the morning and again before you go to bed. Always apply moisturizer on clean skin. Your hands can also benefit from the application of the moisturizer. With the heat on and the windows closed, the air inside can become very dry in the winter, making the dryness and itching of eczema even worse. Use a humidifier to place moisture in the air. If you don't want to invest in an expensive humidifying system, smaller, relatively inexpensive humidifiers can be obtained at a local drug store. Placing two or three of these around your home will help to humidify the dry air. This can keep skin from drying and becoming cracked and itchy. Dietary changes may also help your skin. Refrain or cut back on caffeine and increase your water intake especially during cold windy conditions. Replace bad hardening fats with healthy oils in cooking. Keep the system from stagnating with warming foods and hot teas. Food and drinks with cold energetic slow metabolism and circulation causing congestion through out the body, including the skin. |

My skin get really dry in the winter too. I try to use cleanser that is moisturizing. Drinking alot of water helps too. I've been drinking water all the time and it makes my skin very soft.

You know how I keep up on my water, I have a thermal bottle I thing its 3 liters and when ever I feel hungry tired or thirsty. I just take a big drink and you never notice that you drank it all till its gone.
They say most people when they feel hungry and tired its you body telling you that you need to replenish your H2O (water)

^ Ya. That's right......
And i have read somewhere while searching on net that don't let ur body wait for that long for water. Fatigue, low matabolism are the damages. Until then the damage is already done. Follow a routine for drinking water. |

First post!
As its winter, I drink lots of rose and hibiscus tea all day. I wonder if this is just as beneficial as drinking plain water? |
