Are your periods irregular or very painful? And how old are you?

period pains are not uncommon. However, if they are REALLY painful and very irregular then it's worth seeing a doctor because it could be something like polycystic ovaries. If you're at all worried then you should see a doctor in case it's serious.

I agree with Rose.....though Sometyms periods can be kinda irregular at the beginning....even I have unbearable pain during periods.i went to see a doctor but she said it was normal and prescribed some pain killers....i'm quite alright now...but discontinued the medication....i just use pain killers if the pain is REALLY unbearable.

you can get painkillers especially for period pains- I think they are called femilax (but it could be feminax) as well as specialised heat patches.
