Here are some yummy smoothies that are high in carbohydrates and low in protein and fat.
Lite and Luscious Apricot Pineapple Smoothie 1 cup unsweetened pineapple juice 1 cup apricot nectar 1 cup fat-free vanilla ice cream of fozen yogurt 1 cup 2% milk 1 TB. honey 4 ice cubes. Blend until smooth. Serves four. Calories:160, Carbs: 83%, protein 10%, fat: 7%. Mango Mania 2 cups chopped mango 1 cup orange juice 1/2 cup soft silken tofu 2 TB. honey Blend until smooth. Serves three. Calories: 180, Carbs:89%, protein: 5%, Fat: 6% Wake up Call Smoothie 1 cup orange juice 1 cup strawberries, blackberries, or raspberries 1 cup chopped mango or papaya 1 banana , cut up 1 TB. honey 4 ice cubes Blend until smooth. Serves three. Calories:130, Carbs: 94%, protein: 3%, Fat: 3% I have lots more recipies, so if you like these.. then let me know. These recipies are great as they are, but you can also use them as a starting point for your owen recipies. Try any of the following for making your own smoothies. - boost calcium in smoothies with notfat powdered milk. start with a tablespoon or two and go from there. - Use low fat evaporated milk for a thick, rich-tasting smoothie. - if you are lactose intolerant, try rice milk or soy in your smoothies. - freeze it! Frozen fruit, peeled and cut up if necessary, is great for smoothies as it instantly thickens and chills them.
