Simple Recipes for Blemished SkinUse a simple honey mask on your skin 1-2 times a week. Honey is soothing and healing, as well as having natural antibacterial properties. Perfectly fine for sensitive skin. You can also add to this about a teaspoon of cinnamon to 3 tablespoons of honey to help invigorate your skin. You can also use this combination as an overnight spot treatment. Spot application of tea tree oil to blemishes can help reduce irritation and bacteria. Lavender oil can also be used, a more soothing and healing oil. Make a paste made from ripe tomatoes and apply to the problem areas; leave on for up to 1 hour. Fresh lemon juice, alone or mixed with equal amounts of rosewater, applied to the area and left on overnight may be helpful. Additionally, 1 teaspoon lemon juice and 1 teaspoon cinnamon mixed together can be an effective spot treatment. You can also use a cotton ball with rosewater by itself to clean the face 2-3 times a day - a very gentle cleanser! Blend cucumber and apply as a simple mask to the face for 15-20 minutes. Very refreshing and effective against acne. Make a paste of ground orange peel and water or rosewater, and apply to affected areas. Using toothpaste as an overnight spot treatment may be beneficial. Rubbing fresh garlic on affected areas can make a big impact - if you can stand the smell! Fresh lime juice added to boiling milk can be used as a face wash. Alternately, mix the lime juice with rosewater, and leave on for at least 20 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. Egg whites can be dabbed on a pimple and left for about 20 minutes. Make a solution of 4 ounces Apple Cider vinegar with 20 drops lavender and 20 drops eucalyptus essential oils. Use 1 teaspoon in about 1-2 cups lukewarm water as a final rinse when cleansing the face.
