Question Exfoliating stretch marks. Is it OK ?

Hello.
I have stretch marks. Some of them faded away, others are still here . I went to a dermatologist and he prescribed a cream with kojic and glycolic acid. It's nice because the skin has more moisture after applying it.
However I was wondering if you can exfoliate stretch marks. Is it Ok ? Will it irritate the skin ? What exfoliater do I need ?
By the way do you have other advices ?
Thank you.

If the scars are not fresh I would see no reason not to, but to be safe always ask your doctor first.

It's best to have a body scrub. Make sure the granules are rounded otherwise it will cause irritation. But as Judi said, it's best to consult your doctor forst.

Reviva is one name I came across and also there are some natural ones at the health food shops.

You could use epidermx this is for scars etc.
Also a cream called Barmon Stretch Cream, check out this site for info and for before/after photos:
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/stretch/barmon.html

Here are some tips I found:
Massage cocoa butter into the stretch marks - or a cream such as Barmon Stretchmark Cream with Cocoa butter as one of the ingredients.

Exfoliate your skin with a loofah or skin brush when you shower to stimulate circulation. Doing this removes the dull skin and the dead cells in the scars that show as stretch marks.

Massage Vitamin E oil or cream on your stretch marks. Rub it into your skin after a shower. Products such as Rejuvine includes Vitamin E as one of their ingredients.

Lightbulb To Macgirl

Hello.

I had heard of cocoa butter for stretch marks but I don't know where to buy it .
I'm definitely going to try exfoliation and vitamin E cream. About epidermx I'm not sure of what it is , but after searching on google I got the idea that is has something to do with microdermabrasion.

Thank you.
