If ever you crave something sweet after a meal, try applying the "10 minute impulse control principles." How? For 10 minutes after a meal, you should try and focus on something other than dessert. Go and wash your hands, reapply your makeup, talk about an interesting subject etc. Experience has found that the impulse to eat something sweet will only last for 10 minutes and then disappear completely.

This works as a distraction, like bubblegum says, and also stops you ffrom eating for the next 10 minutes or so anyway, because stuff tastes gross just after you brush your teeth. Another craving tip is to eat ice cubes. They contribute towards your daily intake of water, fill you up suitably and are -40 calories (meaning you lose 40 cals when you eat 1 cube) |
