Hey every1 im suffering from a stiff back! I was wanting to join yoga classes, but some yoga excercises can actually put a strain on teh back. Does any 1 have any suggestions or exercises to hepl with a stiff back. Im also a dental student so that adds to why I have a stiff back

when people are experiencing stress in their lives, it manifests itself in different ways...headaches, backaches, insomina, moodiness, break-outs etc so before doing excersises to help your stiff back, try and look at what could be causing stress in your life and tackle that first. It's your body's way of telling you something...

very, very true.
In the mean time, before you go to bed, do a few stretches with your arms. swing them around from side to side and up and down, stretch as far as you can. Then when you get into bed, take awy your pillow and lie on your back for a few minutes (no longer than quarter of an hour).
Hope some of that helps. Also, if it doesnt help, see a chiropracter (or your GP, who may refer you to a good chiropodist)
Let me know how you get on. My mum suffers from a similar problem, so I am a veritable mine of information!!
