Default Cutting Carbs

Completely cutting carbohydrates out of your body works, but it may cause a deficiency. As you know, your body uses carbohydrates break down the disaccaride sucrose into the monosaccaride glucose, which is easy to do for carbohydrates. When you cut carbs out, your body has to get carbs from other sources, which takes more energy. It also takes the glucose from the fats in your body, causing you to lose weight. It works, but it can cause a defiency, so the best way to lose weight is to balance your meals. Hope I was helpful.

Just adding a lil tidbit...

There are two types of carbs. Simple carbs and Complex carbs. Complex carbs are the type you should be trying to eat and I'll explain why:

Simple carbs are what you find in vending machines and prepackaged food. Basically, the body can instantly absorb these carbs. Eating a simple carb is like....unwrapping a chocolate bar, throwing out the foil and wrapper, and shoving the bar whole in your mouth. Since you've done most of the work, your body instantly gets to the sugar. So you get a sugar rush. Then since your body finishes digesting it so quickly, it says, "Okay, Im hungry again!" right away. Examples of food with simple carbs: pizza pops, toaster pops, t.v dinners, etc...

Complex carbs are healthier and better. When you eat complex carbs it's like eating the same chocolate bar but with the packaging still on. (yes, weird analogy, but go with it) You stay full longer because it takes your body more time to get the packaging off to get to the stuff it wants. So more energy and time is used. There is also the added benefit that since your body isn't getting the sugar all at once, it will take you longer to feel hungry again and you won't have to deal with the fatigue that follows a sugar rush brought on by simple carbs.

Examples of complex carb food: Brown bread, whole grain cereals, instant oatmeal, shredded wheat

I totally agree, people just think carbs on carbs and that they are all bad, but with out certain carbs in our diet we would be running on empty.
