You should try and eat something for breakfast every day. Wholemeal toast with no butter or margerine, but a little wholenut peanut butter on it should keep you filled up. If you dont like that though, any sort of fruit or nuts should be good. Try and make sure you eat something every morning. not only will it make you thinner, it will make you healthier too!

Yep, all good advice. I drink a lot of green tea, morning and night, it keeps me from over eating, clears my skin and it speeds up your metabolism. I also heard celery is something else to eat while trying to lose weight. Since you go to school, maybe if you drive..try parking farther away from the door. I seen this study that the people who wait for a spot at the front dont get the deal because by parking farther away and just doing the walking keeps you a lil more fit. Sounds silly how something so small could make a difference, but if you add up all the small silly things they make a big difference. Dancing, I agree is awesome, not only is it fun but it does work your body and mind out. I remember I used to tighten my stomach while I walked to which eventually ended me up with a firmer tummy. All the other advice has already been said
Just stay healthy, 'no eating diets' are sucky!! |

My brother was telling me that it is not what you eat, but how much you exercise. It can be any type of exercising like dancing around to your music to walking to school. Try and walk more everywhere, rather than taking the car. I have got lots of school work too and i only fit SOME exercise into the weekends. But, it is still not enough. However, i walk to school, i walk back, i dance around and i just try and keep as active as i can. I have been doing this for about a year now and everyone has told me that i have lost a lot of weight! I even fit into some size 8 clothes! (I am normally a size 10-12)
The best way to keep yourself healthy and active is to stay motivated. The more you tell yuorself that the more exercise you do, the better, then the more weight you will lose. Weight doesnt just go over night, you have to keep at it for as long and as often as you can. Next time you feel peckish for a chocolate or something, try and go for a sweet fruit instead! You can have a banana, or apples or even strawberries! There is so much choice! How about opting for a cereal bar. They are more healthier than chocolate and they give you the same amount of energy a chocolate bar gives you! Belive in yourself and YOU CAN ACHIVE ANYTHING! Remember that you are beautiful no matter what!

that depends whether you are into the whole: "no carbs" thing or not. I don't think theres any reason to avoid carbs though, so pasta and rice won't do any harm. Brown rice is generally better for you; more fibre, lower GI and all that jazz. I reckon GI diet is better for you than no carbs. It's not a good idea to cut out an entire food group. but thats not what you were asking... so yes, i think pasta is OK as is rice. but try out brown rice. it tastes just as nice.

I sort of have the same problem. I can have a weakness to junk food as well but I try to think of a reason why I shouldn't eat that piece of junk food like for an example If I have a craving for an Ice cream cone I picture the cone being covered in feces and the ice cream is covered in maggots. I happen to have a phobia of maggots so it always works for me lol!
But did you know that if the average person was able to avoid fast food for 6 whole months you would automatically lose 30lbs! |

At 14-15-16 you're also still growing, so even if you're trying to lose weight, you still need the nutrients.
Try eggs and a small portion of whole grains for breakfast, a chef salad for lunch with light dressing, and lean meats and veggies for dinner. Eat fruit, raw or baked for desserts. Learn to cook "healthy" junk food - if your weakness is chips, try making lightly buttered popcorn. If your weakness is snack cakes, make some high fiber, low-sugar muffins. I think MOST people eat a lot of junk food simply because it's easy to grab. I know that's always been my downfall is to eat what's quickest instead of what's best for me. As for carbs - highly processed carbs aren't really all that good for you. They have the fiber and the nutrients processed out, and nothing much is left except starch, which your body turns into sugar almost immediately. Use whole grain starches if it all, oatmeal, bran, whole wheat, because you digest them slower (because of the fiber) and you won't get blood sugar roller coasters and they still have some of the nutrients left. Thanks for the advice!
I'll admit when I was younger like 14 and 16 I didn't really care for foods that was "good" for me I preferred foods that were good to me lol. But now that Im 19 and in college I realize that its important to not only eat better but also exercise because believe me, when you placed in a new setting and most of the other girls are under a size 10 it only motivates me to exercise more often and eat heather. |
