I wonder if you can help me. Maybe you have this problem yourself and tried some natural remedies which did help you. I really suffer from bad constipation. Sometimes I don't go to the toilet for 5 days and as a result I feel really bloated. I drink lots of water everyday and also have a yogurt as it helps. Do you have any solutions which you tried yourself and helped?

During my holiday I had the same problem. At home I don't have such a problem, I'm eating 2 or 3 raw green pepper every day and this helps me.

I've heard of quite a few natural remedies for this problem. You can get natural tablets which contain senna, which is meant to be good. Also castor oil is used as a cure, although I don't know about dosage (and it probably doesn't taste too nice either lol).
Eat a lot of fibrous food e.g cereals containing bran and wholemeal bread as well. Avoid foods which are known to cause bloating such as white pasta and white bread. If it persists I'd recommend seeing a doctor as they can give you more info. ![]() |

If this problem persist you can buy a product through the health stores that adds fiber and bulk to your digestion, where you would not have this problem all the time. Its similar to Metamucial but it is all natural.
Water, lots of high fiber foods like bran cereal, fruit like apples, vegetables like carrots if you do a look up on the INTERNET you can find how much fiber each fruit and vegetable adds to your daily intake. One other thing that works well are prunes. Hope this helps.

Pear juice is great for constipation, we use to give it to patients when I did nursing. Prune juice is also another good one too!

FOODS THAT TREAT CONSTIPATION
Foods that Lubricate the Intestines spinach banana sesame seed/oil honey pear prune peach apple apricot walnut pine nut almond alfalfa sprouts soy products carrot cauliflower beet okra whole fresh milk* seaweed Foods that Promote Bowel Movement cabbage papaya peas black sesame seed coconut sweet potato asparagus bran from oats, wheat or rice castor oil Demulcent Herbs marshmallow root flax seed fenugreek seed Psyllium seed licorice root Laxative Herbs dandelion root rhubarb root cascara bark barberry bark Flora-Enhancing Foods miso sauerkraut** dairy yogurt seed yogurt Rejuvelac acidophilus*** kefir chlorophyll-rich foods e.g., wheat-grass products, dark greens, micro- algae (wild blue-green and spirulina) and alfalfa greens * Over-consumption of poor-quality milk products is a primary cause of constipation; however, a moderate amount of milk which has not been pasteurized, homogenized, skimmed, or denatured in other ways can benefit those suffering with constipation from dryness, if they are not allergic to dairy products. **Raw sauerkraut and unpasteurized pickles are beneficial for improving the intestinal flora. (See "Pickles" in the recipe section.) ***In addition to Lactobacillta acidophilus, other bacterial organisms help renew the intesti- nal bioculture, among them L. bifidus, L. bulgaricus, S. faecium, L. rhamnosus, and B. la(- erosporus. Except for laterosporus, one or more of these are often included in commercial "acidophilus" cultures. Laterosporus, becoming more available at stores carrying dietary supplements, is the most effective of these bacteria for treating constipation. |

maybe stress is your problem, armand. I'd recommend you see your doctor about this, as they will be able to prescribe you something to relax you, and maybe you won't have this problem any more
