I tried this when I was in my teens and the mayo made my hair...yuck, greasey and stinky. Yet, I was young and maybe didn't rinse long enough or?

ohh I tried the mayonnaise too. I too was a teenager and maybe I didn't rinse correctly lol. My hair is quite fine, I probably should have only added it to the ends.

Beer also works.

There were several companies in the 70's that had shampoos which conatined eggs, honey, and beer. They all worked quite well.

Hi....

i like pantene conditioner ice shine. and when you shampoo only do the roots. don't shampoo everyday. always rinse shampoo with warm/hot water. concentrate on the ends when you condition. condition more frequently than you shampoo and always rinse conditioner with cool water b/c it seals the cuticle promoting shine and traping some of the moisture from conditiner inside the cuticle.......

i have heard some one saying that beer is good conditioner for hair... i wonder whether that true or not, vogueboy, so what were your results of using beer?

The honey concerns me. I have really curly hair that tangles easily so the thought of getting something sticky in it scares me.

Honey is a great humectant. I've mixed honey with conditioner for a deep condtitioning treatment for a few years. It works well, and rinses out easily. When honey is mixed with something else that has a lot of "slip" (like conditioner) it doesn't feel sticky.
