Default Coffee and Stained Teeth

I know regular caffinated coffee stains teeth, but does it make any difference if it's decaffenated coffee? Just wondering, because I've been drinking a lot of regular coffee and its making my teeth look bad, so I'm willing to switch to decaf to stop these stains.

Try Topol Toothpaste, It's specifically made for use on teeth to get rid of tobacco and coffee stains.

^ Right..

Alchohal, caffeine (tea coffee), smoking all leave stains on ur teeth.

I take tea a lot, but then i got the treatment to remove yellow stains.

First of, a good whitening tooth-paste, like Denture (spelled ir right-----confused). Dunno if its available at ur place or not.

Second- Give atry to baking soda and vegetable oil mixture.
Ratio:
I tsp baking soda / half tsp soda bi-carb
Veggie oil---enough to make a paste....i prefer using almond oil
Just put this mixture on ur toothbrush and do ur regular brushing. Results are gorgeous and instant. Dont put it for long periods of time, or therwise it's goin to leave 'wounds' on ur gums and tongue.

U can give a try to coarse salt and mustard oil too. (My favourite)

Plus.....adding 1/2 tsp table salt in ur tooth cream (the one that has like watery consistency...paste thing creates fuss in it) also helps to remove stains.

Adding a lil lemon in 1/2 glass of water, and use it as ur mouth wash immediately after intaking alchohal, or any caffeinic drink.

Found this on Google....Interesting....

CALIFORNIA STATE SCIENCE FAIR

Christopher S. Vargas
Which Beverage Stains the Most?

Objectives/Goals
My project is about the following: does Green Tea, coffee, Tea, Chocolate, Pepsi, Grape Juice, Cranberry
juice, or Tang stain teeth the most and does temperature affect stainging? I thought that if I set one tooth
each in twelve jars, then Hot Coffee will stain the tooth the most.

Methods/Materials
My materials were the following: baby food jars (12), pepsi, grape juice, cranberry juice, coffee, tea,
green tea, tang drink mix, chocolate drin mix, teeth (12), plate, tubes, tongs, and gloves. The staining of
the teeth was measured by a whitening shade guide.

Results
My results are the grape juice stains the most, cranberry the second, pepsi and hot green tea third, hot tea
the fourth, coffee and green tea the fifth, hot coffee, tea, hot chocolate, sixth, and chocolate the least.

Conclusions/Discussion
My conclusion and results show that my hypothesis was proven incorrect. My conclusion shows that
drinking ordinary beverages has a major toll on how badly your teeth get stained.

My project is about how beverages in various temperatures have different staining levels on teeth.
Dentist provided teeth.

If you are looking for a short-term solution, avoid orange- and yellow-based lip roducts and wear pinks and colours with blue aor silver undertones, this should make your teth look whiter for a night out or for work or school or whatever, hope this is helpful! xx

The hygienist at my dentist office recommended brushing once weekly with a mixture of salt, baking powder, and sage. It's effective for removing stains and is not as abrasive as some whitening toothpastes. Who wants to give up coffee and tea!!

I use whitening strips (either Crest or Rembrant) once a year, and brush with a whitening toothpaste daily, done it for several years.
