Here’s a small quiz for all you beautiful UC members out there. Let’s hope this way we’ll learn from each other those tricks and tips…
1. Age group a) 13 to 23 b) 24 to 34 c) 35 to 45 d) 46 and above I’m in the ‘24 to 34’ age group 2. Top 3 maintenance tips? *applying moisturizer before any make-up * at least use pressed powder and wear lip gloss *try to look as natural as possible with the use of minimum make-up 3. A product you cannot live without? Dior skin compact pressed powder 4. Most expensive product you don’t mind purchasing? Hydra – Move moisturizer from Dior 5. Cheapest product you always keep with you? Vaseline 6. Do you use any products when you sleep and if yes what is it? Repair wear intensive night cream by Clinique 7. How did you learn how to apply make-up? During a training conducted by the air line I worked for, by a famous make-up . artist. 8. How much time do you take to get ready? Half an hour to 45 mnts 9. Do you re-apply make-up during the day and if yes how many times? After lunch I do a touch up 10. Do you exercise regularly and if so how many times a week? Yes and about 4 times a week. 11. How often do you go to a beautician and for which treatments? Once a month to get my eye brows, upper lip done. I get a blow dry done at the same time too. 12. Which part of your beauty regime will you not live without?Moisturizing and doing regular exercises. I make it a point to visit my dermatologist every six months and these three I need to survive. 13. How would you describe your style? Erm… I just wear whatever I feel makes me look good. I don’t follow trends that much but love wearing low-cut jeans and tiny cotton blouses I design and get stitched. To work I wear pants and shirts most of the time and rarely long skirts.

Burt's Bees lip balm, sunblock, California Baby body wash 4. Most expensive product you don’t mind purchasing? Collective Well Being Daily Moisture. 5. Cheapest product you always keep with you? Dental Floss 6. Do you use any products when you sleep and if yes what is it? No 7. How did you learn how to apply make-up? From my mother 8. How much time do you take to get ready? five minutes 9. Do you re-apply make-up during the day and if yes how many times? No, I don't usually wear make up, except for special events. It's usually just sunblock, chapstick and maybe mascara. 10. Do you exercise regularly and if so how many times a week? Yes, usually everyday for about 30 minutes 11. How often do you go to a beautician and for which treatments? Never 12. Which part of your beauty regime will you not live without? Moisturizing and eating healthy 13. How would you describe your style? Classic girly and casual. I love vintage clothes too, like 1970s - 1980s style.

Age is a state of mind so 18. LOL 2. Top 3 maintenance tips? Wear Sunscreen Wear a good moisturizer Smile often 3. A product you cannot live without? I can't say I have one, if any it would be a good cleanser 4. Most expensive product you don’t mind purchasing? Vitamin A Moisturizing Gel, its not expensive but when I look at my skin it sure feels like I have 5. Cheapest product you always keep with you? Hand cream, Roc lip balm 6. Do you use any products when you sleep and if yes what is it? Roc 7. How did you learn how to apply make-up? I loved Vogue and I had their book and from their I learned to improvise to achieve almost any given look. artist. Later I studied and did makeup up and hair for special occassion, so I did private consulting. 8. How much time do you take to get ready? 5 mintutes for just a natural day look, 30 mintutes for an evening look 9. Do you re-apply make-up during the day and if yes how many times? no, the only thing I ever reapply is gloss 10. Do you exercise regularly and if so how many times a week? I like to try to get 30to 60 3 times a week 11. How often do you go to a beautician and for which treatments? Once every 8 weeks I see my hair stylist, the rest I can do myself and save a little money. 12. Which part of your beauty regime will you not live without?Moisturizing and healthy diet lots of water, sunblock 13. How would you describe your style? 4 years ago it would have been stylish suits, now it more classics

c) 35 to 45 2. Top 3 maintenance tips? always remove make up before bedtime clean make up brushes regularly replace make up when necessary (example: throw away mascara over 3 months old) 3. A product you cannot live without? Shine control -- I've just been learning about some of these products lately 4. Most expensive product you don’t mind purchasing? Lancome High Resolution anti-wrinkle cream 5. Cheapest product you always keep with you? Burt's Bees lipbalm 6. Do you use any products when you sleep and if yes what is it? Lancome High Resolutin; only in cooler weather, it's too heavy in summer 7. How did you learn how to apply make-up? I started wearing make up when I was about 15. I've always enjoyed just experimenting with different things, and reading lots of fashion magazines, they always have lots of articles on make up. So that's how I got started. I learned to do make up professionally when I went to cosmetology school, and I did professional make up application at one of the salons I worked at. 8. How much time do you take to get ready? 5 minutes for casual, 30 minutes for special occassions. 9. Do you re-apply make-up during the day and if yes how many times? If I've gotten too oily during the day I'll touch up, but that's usually it. Oh, and lipstick when neccessary. 10. Do you exercise regularly and if so how many times a week? Not regularly, but I do enjoy walking. 11. How often do you go to a beautician and for which treatments? I can color at home with professional products, although sometimes I like to go to a salon to have it done for a little pampering. LOL 12. Which part of your beauty regime will you not live without? Burt's Bees lipbalm. Very minty! ![]() 13. How would you describe your style? Sometimes western/cowboy (I love cowboy boots! wear them a lot), or broomstick/peasant type skirts, very soft/flowy/feminine. Or sometimes dressed up in skirts and heels. I hardly ever wear sneakers, I just don't like them, and usually won't wear a T-shirt outside of the house. |

Cheapest product you always keep with you? oil-blotting papers by Clean and Clear and lip conditioner by Covergirl Outlast 6. Do you use any products when you sleep and if yes what is it? BP, Beta Hydroxy acid and Super Antioxidant lotion- all from Paula Choice (I love her products) 7. How did you learn how to apply make-up? from watching my mother when I was very young and from peers and magazines 8. How much time do you take to get ready? *Half an hour to 40 minutes tops 9. Do you re-apply make-up during the day and if yes how many times? *touch up once during the day- around 2p.m 10. Do you exercise regularly and if so how many times a week? *Yes and about 4 times a week- 40 minute walk before dinner 11. How often do you go to a beautician and for which treatments? I never go anymore. I use to go get my eyebrows waxed regularly but not anymore. 12. Which part of your beauty regime will you not live without? * applying all the products I need to keep acne under control- I never miss a day no matter how tired I am! 13. Top 3 maintenance tips? 1) Make sure you feel good, then you will truly look good. 2) Never go to bed on wet hair - frizz nightmare! 3) Always curl your eyelashes BEFORE you put on mascara, not after! 3. A product you cannot live without? Olay Double Action Day Cream and any waterproof mascara. 4. Most expensive product you don’t mind purchasing? Bluff Dust from Benefit. 5. Cheapest product you always keep with you? My lip balm - about £2 I think. 6. Do you use any products when you sleep and if yes what is it? Yes, Olay Double Action Night Cream and Avon Advanced Eye Protector. 7. How did you learn how to apply make-up? I learned from books. 8. How much time do you take to get ready? For a normal day, 20 minutes. If I'm going someplace special, an hour. 9. Do you re-apply make-up during the day and if yes how many times? Nope, unless you count re-applying my lip balm. 10. Do you exercise regularly and if so how many times a week? Yes I do...yoga three times a week and cardio for the other four days. 11. How often do you go to a beautician and for which treatments? I go twice a month to my friend (a trained beautician) for an eyebrow wax and a pedicure. I go every three months for a bikini wax. 12. Which part of your beauty regime will you not live without? I used to research how to do each thing properly on the interent (thats how i came accross this website too) and also i watched my mum when i was young. 8. How much time do you take to get ready? 45 minutes 9. Do you re-apply make-up during the day and if yes how many times? Not really 10. Do you exercise regularly and if so how many times a week? Every Evening 11. How often do you go to a beautician and for which treatments? I don't. I wax my upper lip at home. 12. Which part of your beauty regime will you not live without? Exfoliating 13. How would you describe your style? Casual, comfortable and i add my own funkyness to it by cool accesories.
