We went to buy some Halloween costumes (hub and I are going to a Halloween party) and I bought this long-black-haired wig and when I got home, I went upstairs to do my make-up (to try it) and I came back downstairs and my husband said OH MY GOD you look like Amy LEE from Evanescence- I had the raunchy black lipstick and the over done black eyeliner!!!!hahhahahhah!!!!it was fun!!....and then I started to sing Snow White Queen......

Went to see my grandmother in the hospital.
She had a heart attack today and they had to put in a stint.

Thank you Judi.
She's 87, so it's a tough surgery for her, but she was sitting up and eating dinner when I stopped by this evening, which is much better than yesterday.
Don't know yet how long they'll keep her.

hope your grandmother is OK, blackbird

I went to work today. I HATE IT!!!! I very nearly phoned up and quit tonight, but I think I'll do it tomorrow because I'm working then too, and it would just be rude to leave them in the lurch like that.
I can't even begin to explain how incredibly stessful I'm finding it. Waitressing just isn't for me, and it's in the middle of the city's biggest shopping centre, so it's going to be absolute hell over christmas- I want to get out while I still can!!!!!
I might possibly be getting a saturday job at a greengrocer's instead. Probably boring, but a lot more peaceful. And it will be nice to sell people healthy food, as opposed to food that's so greasy it made my white shirt go slightly see through today when I held a plate too close to me.
Also, there's a possibility I could be getting a job at Boots (it's a chain pharmasist and cosmetic store in the UK). That would be good, as the one I'm applying to is only small, and I know the stock and sotre layout by heart given how often I go in there!!!!
goodness, it was nice to have a little rant there
