Talking piercings and tattoos, girls.

ok, well I'v always been more of an alternative girl. I'v had a labre, lip rings, monroes. Now all I have is medium sized gauges in m ears. I'm getting a job at a casino. They metioned that you can't even have a second hole in your ear!!! I just think it's kind of silly that in this day of age when soooo many people are getting tattoos and piercings why it's so "frowned upon" to have things like that. I understand they just want you to look professional but still. I think that is a stereotype. That people that have piercings and tats must be "wierd" or "trouble-makers." I love piercings but i'm quit a normal young girl. I like designer things, and nice clothes, nice perfume, etc. Just because your into those things doesnt' mean you can't be classy.

exatly! i get 100% where youre coming from
people think my black hair and clothes makes me a bad seed
when really im quite normal i just dress differently
i love perfume and shopping and dresses and most people would never guess that
my mom is freaked out that i want tatoos and i want my lip pierced
even though i look good with my fake one....
but yeah most people think that i like black and im morbid but im quite the opposite!
i love colors RAINBOWS! and im all for peace love and rock n roll!
but yeah just because youre pierced and have tats doesnt mean youre a bad person in any way!

I have no idea why society puts a label on people or things, I was dying my hair blue black when I was 17 and it was considered a bad thing because it was only one type of girl that would do that at that time.
I have know a wealth of people in my life, and some of them have their own identity's that goes hand in hand with what they wear or not wear. These are people who should be applauded not for following fashion or what is dictated to by society. They are what they want to be and not want to be's they follow their rules and make their own paths and that has to be admired.

There are several of us here with tattoos. I have a butterfly on my right shoulder. I have 2 piercings in each ear, but they're just regular ear-ring sized.
And I'm completely normal. Hahahaha!!!!

I have my ears and belly button pierced and 2 tattoos and I love them. A lot of people I know don't think much of tattoo's but I don't care. As long as I like them thats all that matters. Also I think its great to look different, the world would be boring if everyone looked and dressed the same!

I don't think there's anything wrong with having tattoos and/or piercings. Sometimes I think about getting a tattoo, the only thing is I'm not sure if I would still like the tattoo in the future. It's there for the rest of your life, so it's not something to take lightly. I've seen some people with tattoos that I think they might regret at some point in their lives, for example, you might not still love the band Maroon Five in ten or twenty years, yet the ink remains. However, you would probably still like a tattoo of your child's name, or something like that. I remember when I was in junior high, I wanted to get a tattoo of a butterfly on my breast. For a long time, I used to talk about how on my eighteenth birthday I would finally get that tattoo. Well, what did happen on my eighteenth birthday was I went shopping, registered to vote, and went out with my friends, there was no visit to a tattoo parlor to get that butterfly. I still think that if I ever do get a tattoo, it probably will be a butterfly, but definitely not on my boob! In short, I'm glad thirteen year olds can't get tattoos without parental permission, but other than that, I think they are a perfectly acceptable form of self expression. As I often say, whatever floats your boat

well heres how i look at it:
you get ONE life
and you can either have fun
and do what you want
and just make the most of it
OR
just live thinking of tomorrow as opposed to
living in today
=]
