Since I joined I have noticed people from all over, might I suggest getting to know more about each other by telling us a bit about where you live in this great world of ours.
I'll start, I live in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. Hockey team Edmonton Oilers. Edmonton is the Capital of Alberta. (no we do not live in Igloo's we have home like everyone else) We have strange weather, we always say blink and the weather in Alberta changes. We have cold winter sometimes lots of snow. Alberta is a beautiful place, Lakes, mountains and so many different things to do. I think it would be interesting to get an idea of everyone else home town and Country. It would be nice to see it through someone else eyes. Drop a line.

Okay, well i live in a very small modern country called Singapore, in Asia.
and well, its quite the opposite of your country. Singapore does not have the four seasons here, so its always summer. hmm..We do not get natural disasters here, luckily...but sometimes we can feel the earthquakes from other countries nearby..theres not exactly mountains here lol..but there are alot of lakes, nature preserves..etc. I've never gone to canada before..but it seems like a nice place to visit ! ![]() |

I am originally from Calgary, Alberta... Go FLAMES Go!!!
I now live in Toronto, Ontario. It's big, exciting, lots to do, lots of cultural festivals and drama, like shootings, City Hall politics and transit that sucks. I miss the mountains though, However Lake Ontario makes up for it... The Fall Season is very beautiful and colourful. The snow stays waaaaaaaay too long. And people are friendly... For the most part. ![]()

Nice to hear, I have lived in Edmonton for the last few years, but for about 8 years I lived in Calgary. The Flames are my favorites and I always cheer for them when their up against the Oilers. Same with the Stamps.
I was in T.O. a few years ago but it was fogged in so bad you could not see two feet ahead of you, I was told that that year was one of the worst for weather. I would have loved to see more when I was there. Nice talking to you. Take care!!!

I live in North Texas and the weather is pretty much awesome, though at times we've had pouring rain one day and then HOT HOT scorching weather the next. It's the middle of October and its still 80 degrees outside. Texas is in tornado valley and we get a few every years, but its usually not that bad. We have 4 seasons, but in the winter it just gets cold and every few years we are lucky enough to have snow. I remember one Thanksgiving when I didn't even need a coat.
![]() I live in the suburbs, but if you travel about 100 miles west of here, you'll find some of the most beautiful landscape, acres and acres of rolling hills and a few mountains. I could go on and on about Texas, with the exception of GWB, I love it! |

I live in UK, London. The weather is really bad here at the moment because winter is coming....ITS SOO COLD!
We have Tony Blair as our priminister and we have a Queen! Most people remember the weather when they come here as it is sometimes quite bad...but suring the summer, the weatheer is lovely! Its nice and sunny and warm! Spring time is the best, its not too hot and its not too warm...but the best month for weather is September because its just the right temperature! ![]()

I live in Santa Fe, NM.
It is located at 7,500 ft. above sea level. Santa Fe was established in the early 1600's and it is the oldest U.S. state capital. It is a resort destination, but not as high-end as Aspen, Santa Fe's Sister City. It's a truly magical small (70,000 population) city, with many of the advantages of a large, metropolitan center and many of the advantages of a smaller town. Santa Fe is one of the U.S.'s top art markets (typically ranks in the top 3), so it is a mecca for artists, dealers and collectors. It offers a wonderful quality of life with lots to do. There is definitely NOT a big nightlife scene, but you can typically find something to do any given night of the week. Most people move here for the clean air, beautiful sky, amazing mountains (we're surrounded by three ranges--the Rockies or Sangre de Cristos, the Jemez and the Sandias), spa & health subculture, art, Opera and high-tech job opportunities. Santa Fe is culturally diverse, to a degree--much moreso than any city of its size elsewhere. Santa Fe has four distinct seasons. Summertime never gets too hot because of the Monsoon season, and winter never gets too cold because the sun always comes out. Santa Fe has a spectacular climate with an extended ski season. Every day that I live here I feel completely blessed to be a resident of Santa Fe. ![]()
