DIY piercing...

does anyone know what the risks are of piercing your own septum?? (nose..btwn nostrils)
i really wanna pierce mine but i was told if u do it wrong it can really screw ur nose up:P

nooooooooooo dont do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my mums mate done hers herself and she got an infection, a girl on the tele had a really really really really really gross infection on her belly button, and if you pierce your own ear, you can pierce a vein and get a blood clot and die, or summat like that, just get someone else to do it, coz it will hurt a lot less and will reduce the big risks of having an infection lol soz for bablling and hope this helps

Anytime you pierce any part of your body you take risks, but because there are so many tiny blood veins in your nose, I would only risk having a professional do this, and someone certificated with an outstanding name in that work.

i doubt piercing your own ear will do anything.... i pierced 3 holes in my ears yesterday.... and as soon as i get more earrings im piercing all the way up my ear im not a sissy for pain so i doubt i would have problems with doing the septum piercing..... just wanted to know if its true that if u pierce a certain spot it can cause some kinda nerve damage... i think it was just someone trying to get me to not do that:P


i was wondering about the septum piercing because i have heard of several people who pierced it right and i have also heard that other people have really fucked it up.....

Yeah, ear piercing is (relatively) risk-free when it's DIY, but I really wouldn't recommend peircing your septum by yourself-- you would have to be fully aware of all the nerves and veins in that part of the body to definately do it right, and even then it would not be totally risk-free

ah, yeah, my friend has that. Apparently, if that is done wrong, then it can cause severe nerve damage to the nerves on that side of your face. If thats what can happen from peircing your ear wrong, then who knows what could happen with your septum, since its in the middle(ish) of your face...

Don't. It's worth it to get a pro to do it. You'll get a better piercing and a better healing process!!!!!!

i dont like it
