Model material?

Hi girls and boys...

I am 13, quite tall, blonde hair, blue eyes, quite a nice tanned skin. I have clear skin too and am quite pretty ( not to be vein or anything) I am not a stick like some models are... but i am not a chubby kid. I do have thighs.. duh i am a teenager.. and a bit of a tummy but it looks flat when its on show for some weird reason.I am pretty flat chested. I really want to be a model and have entered a few competitions for a bit of a laugh and now i think of it i want to be one

. I am a great poser using objects lol ( i use my kitchcen table to pose on) Hehe. I live in australia. Do people think i can become a model. Any advice.. help.

Your best bet is to go to a Agency, something ligit like ford (Vogue know more of the different ones than I) and get an opinion. I have know several girls that were what we invision has model perfect only one of them ever made and she was done by 25. But PM Vogue he is great with these things.

Well, first off how tall are you and what is your feet size?

I would go to a reputable agency and talk with a booker. At least here in NA, the bigger agencies, (Ford, Elite, Next...) have open calls once a week for only a couple of hours.

Well you're 13, are you emotionally strong? Because Agencies are quite harsh and they tell you like it is, it may be perceived as them being mean, that's just how the industry is.

What type of modelling do you want to do? There is fashion, body, body parts like hands, feet, hair, nude (you're too young), swimwear, event modelling like for sporting events car shows etc...

They all have their requirements...

And competition is quite fierce and it's all in the body shape, type and facial bone structure. Just take a look at high fashion mags like Vogue, Elle, Z!nk and fashion programming like Fashion File, Fashion Television and take a look at the models... And ask yourself: "Do I look like or have the potential to look like them?" Forget about the attitude and walk and posing. Take a look at their body and bone structure.

Also, if this is going to be a career for you, take up dancing, it tones the body and helps you know your body and how to move. Actually dancing is a great workout anyway...

Don't be discouraged, you're only 13 and you have your W H O L E life ahead of you...

Anyways, I've just barely scratched the surface of this modelling thing...
