There are tons of different things you can do with your fringe. In NZ two of the most popular ones are:
The side fringe: You part the front of your hair off centre and have it sort of going diagonally across your face (not to much over your face though!)
The poof fringe: you get your fringe between your fingers and twist. You then secure it with a bobby pin halfway on your head. It may take a bit of experimenting the first time but if you do it right it should look kind of like this:

instead of having it twisted and halfway on your head, you can have a flat pulled back fringe secured with a bobby pin. It can look really good with your hair out and straightened.
